Wow if your COD2 looks better on your comp you must have one piece of shit projector or some shit is all I can think of. Cause my plasma has way better resolution then my comp for COD2. Every fucking magazine says it and most every damn site Ign, Gamespy , Gamespot etc... they have already said this before look it up it's pretty much you and a few other people that still are fucking blind to how much better COD 2 graphics on xbox 360 are then pc cod 2 graphics.

tikker you played a 360 on a projector at 1280x1024? okay so here's the thing: you can't display 1080i at 1280x1024. you have to have a projector thats native resolution is 1920x1080. so at 1280x1024, anything you're trying to play with a 1080i signal is being compressed in your projector to fit its native resolution and you're losing picture quality. and on top of that, when you try to run a 1080i signal at 1280x1024 resolution, the "compression" is squashed pixels. your pixels are slightly rectangular instead of square. basically, you need 1080 or 540 (since it's interlaced) horizontal scan lines to display anything at 1080i. it still looks a lot better than a TV or a monitor, but it doesn't look near as good as it should. and yeah you can handle 720p authentically, but unless you just watch sports you won't find too many things to do in 720p. nor will you find much in 1080p for a few years
anyway, the entire world might be saying the 360 looks nicer than computers atm because it actually does. just think about it. or invite me over and show me your computer running CoD2 at 1080i with 60fps and i'll believe you

Ive got 2 7800GTXes in Sli running to a 19 inch trinitron. XBOX 360 games I have look nicer. And please with this "you can buy an $800 computer that runs games just as well/looks just as good." Right.
Sorry Toss but the games I can run on my PC are much better than on a console.
Don't get me wrong the consoles are cool but the 360 isn't going to touch a top of the line PC. (Neither will the PS3 for that matter).
I don't see any reason to get a 360 though. I have a PS2 and never play the damn thing. What a total waste of money for me. :/
Yeah no one says it will beat a good 3k+ comp or a super computer but it will be easily better then a previously stated 800 dollar comp. Since you say you have a ps2 that you never play and it was a total waste of money I think it is safe to assume that you do not own an xbox 360. So try it on a HD plasma or somthing at 1080i at your house with wireless controllers not the connected ones that you might see at the store's that you can try out and look at all the features etc... it truly makes online gaming simple.

Most definitly better than any 800 dollar computer. Things will work alot better on it too. Maybe when they get down to about 200 bucks or so.
For now I'll stick with my PC, I could plug it into my tv but that would be a pain in the ass, not to mention my wife would kick my ass. :P

I've hardly put a dent in the number of games I've wanted to play for Xbox/PS2. As it is, it took me over a month to finish HL2 as I can only play in small spurts due to time constraints. Getting old sucks...

Same here Jimmy. Hell I stretched out my Fear play time to about an hour at a time. I played that game for a long ass time. For those that can afford the 360 now and have the time to play it and other games, I say go for it.
