every single hardware configuration has its own restore disk

sorry i was being techy. i work for dell and i get 8-9 calls a day asking for one and they are well nigh impossible to get a systems restore disk

umm dell has a system restore partition on any machine built after 2004. What do you need the fucking disc for?

people still ask for it..

i ask the customer the same thing, you have to understand how unbeleivably stupid people are.

when i first started i handled a call where a guy yelled at us because he folded his 5 1/4 floppy in half and got it stuck in a 3.5 inch floppy drive

Hey dammuzis...

I deleted the C partition on a new Dell Dimension 9150, but I left the utility partition and the image partition intact. I then rebuilt the C partition with a fresh install of XP Pro. How can I restore the scripts functionality so that Control + F11 will engage the restore?

is there any way to install a fresh OS on a Dell without fucking up the restore capability? Say, if I left the partition in tact so the MBR was left alone and then just reinstalled a fresh OS?

not really and if you were able to access the restore utility your freshly installed OS would go bye bye

if you need drivers just download them

funny thing is i dont own a dell other then the stuff i get here for free
