Roller girl as in Heather Graham was a whore.

Rollergirls, as in the show on A&E are not whores, they are badass chicks who get down and dirty in the rink.

I was pretty involved in the latest Rollergils upstart here in MN a couple years back. It's great fun but the novelty kind of wore off quickly. They are cute and all but out of the 4-5 teams that were put togther here, maybe 10 of the girls could actually skate worth a shit and of those 10, 4 were actually good at the "game". I remember rollerderby from when I was a kid and yeah, almost all of the violence was staged but damn, those girls were badasses back then.
