NT on borrowed time. Do we need a new home?
Ok, for those who haven't noticed, the board seems rather short one Mike Galloway. I'm not sure what his situation is, but he's splitsville.
Also, the board is currently being funded by a Dangerpaul donation, and I'm not sure if Mike wants to continue running this. It doesn't appear so.
I think we need to start looking for a new home for our dysfunctional board, as this one could disappear at a moments notice and be gone for good.
Sooo... If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, plans, etc... please post them here.

The only problem is we'd lose the album and other goodies, and not be able to have the games....
I'm fine with going back to ezboard, whatever works for me, as I only am here for the third grade jokes, and to enrage the Mckenzie brothers.

I am willing to pitch in to help. Both me and mar have done some work on forum systems in the past.
I am not on par with Lyions l33t programming skilz since I hung up my code spurs some 10 years ago but Im willing to hlep anyway I know.
As for most of you I enjoy chatting with you and would hate to see it disappear like a fart in a jaccuzi.
While we are discussing this. what changes would we want to implement?

Vonk was talking to Gidan a while ago about transfering NT to his server. This can still be done with minimal donations for upkeep. I dont think Gid used the space yet. Give me a PM if you havent gotten a good offer yet.
Gidan cant log into NT. Something about the internal...blah blah blah...and if I were to switch to his account on my computer, I would be gone from NT forever as well. I dont know. But send me a PM and I will pass it his way.

This was the PM I sent to Paul about a month ago:
never got a reply.
That basically sums it up. I'm just really busy in my regular life. I love this community but I can't give it the time and effort that it demands - deserves. I would build a new NT for whoever... transfer the domain name, the posts... whatever ya'll need. I'll join up as a godfather or whatever role ya'll want. I just can't be responsible for running things anymore.
Still... it's kind of weird to jump to this conclusion just because I haven't posted for a month or two =p. Hell, I was without an ISP for 2 of those weeks ccc. But yeah... your instincts were correct.
I love you all ^_^

call after 8'ish sometime.
basically... I'd like to hand the 'management' of NT over to someone else. I'd suggest starting over someplace new... I'll build the website and transfer the posts over for you, I just can't put the time and effort into it anymore

Hi there. I run a 100mbit dedicated server that I use to host friends, I only have a couple semi-popular sites so pretty much the whole 100mbit is available always. The server itself is a Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz with 2gb ram etc...
My proposal is that I host it using phpBB (so that it will be the same/similar to what it is now) and D. Duck & the other admins will help run it.
My e-mail is jeff@auth.org -- Contact me for more infoz... or ask D. Duck :p

p.s. FUCK ezboard

I thought you were going to transfer it to Gidan, Mike. I know you had a lot going on IRL, but was just trying to be proactive since I know job/gf/etc takes precedence, and wasn't sure when you'd be back.
Let me know if you want me to do anything to transfer it.
