Filet is with out a doubt the best possible cut of meat, but I personally prefer a good porter house or t-bone, marinated correctly of cource. Sounds tasty though mmm mmm good.

Maybe I'm nuts, but I'm just a good ol' sirloin fan~

Never did like lobster.. acquired taste I suppose. Love crab, hate lobster

I'm having stuffed pork chops.. lets hope they turn out ok, it's a dangerous thing when I'm inventing stuff =\

Good Eats was all about tenderloin and how to make a perfect Filet Mignon today.

I will have to watch that!

And I actually go for NY Strip or Sirloin when I get steak. Don't like to have to deal with the bones like in T-bone or Porterhouse. Do like those cuts tho. Filet, good meat, but cuts are so small. heh.

Good stuff. Lobster is the shit. filet is rockin' too but I'd take a nice Rib-eye / Delmonico any day.

BTW, update us when you try to take a shit and you're bound up for 2 days.

And I watched it.

For dinner I had a strawberry shake to coat my stomach.
Then I drank.
Then we went to IHOP where I ordered a bacon omlette, no onion, no tomato and onion rings instead of the pancakes it comes with.
The onion rings were too soggy, so I left those and my waitress yelled at me for it. (We go there every Sat night after going to the bar so we have a "regular" waitress. I <3 she)

Tomorrow, we are going to Johnny Carinos for the Jan birthdays on my moms side of the family. I will have something with seafood in it.

P.S. today is my birthday. I am 23.

You sound like Kahar. He orders his steaks "kill it, skin it and throw it on a plate"

My wife says I have a tendency to develop a harem. Not sure why she says that.

ROFL Harem <3 ftw. I have the carebear avatar because I always tell Joey he is a grumpy bear, hence the grumpy bear avatar.

Anyway, I think I got my taste in meat from my mother, she is a big fan of tuna steaks, and whenever she orders it she tells the waiter "Just put in the pan long enough for both sides to hit the metal, just so it warms it up."

Yay for semi raw meat!

BTW, I have no doubt in my mind that I could be woo'ed with food very easily. :(

If you REALLY like steak that rare, you should try Steak Tartare. I didnt' care for it, when a GF who loved it made me try some when we were out at a fancy/expensive place, but to each their own.

For those who don't know what Steak Tartare is, it's basically raw shredded beef + spices + raw egg to hold it together, and it's served with little pieces of toastlike stuff you spoon the meat onto, and then eat.

I dunno about the raw egg. I love my steak really really rare, but the extent of my eggs is over easy.

Sirloin is indeed a good cut of meat, not as fatty as ribeye or Strip. and nothing tops a steak off as well as a lobster tail or three. And cooking red meat ruins it. I am kinda like Kahar there except I say "Knocks his horns off, wipe his ass, and trot him out here"
The object of life is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to come screaching in to the grave sidelong in a beatup wreck of a body, loudly proclaiming "WOW What a ride!"
