EQ2 PVP Servers

The ruleset for these servers looks real real cool. I am playing DAoC in all its 3rd party cheating craptasticity right now. EQ2 is a real clean looking game, love the graphics from the Trial of the Isle thing i played for a lil bit. I am wondering what classes have the best frontload damage, and i am also wondering if casters in this game can be interrupted. Do DoT spells break roots and so on.

DAoC was a big difference from EQ1 and it took me some getting used to with the roots being broken by damage etc. Also, I never really liked how in EQ1 Necros were so bleh against other casters because our pets sucked compared to mage pets and we lacked any real useful DD until Neurotoxin came out. Even then it was a slow cast and still not enough damage. If i recall Druids outnuked us, Wizards, Mages, and i am sure others too. Fear was useless in PVP, which was the defining spell for Necros up until maybe Luclin or PoP when fear kiting went out the window and it became root rot or reverse kite.

Anyways i am really looking forward to this new EQ2 expansion and the PVP servers. I will most definately try it out.

for front end damage warlock on the evil side, wizzies on good side

if your looking for something with a little more protection....Mystics defilers can hold thier own (not fast dmg but there are few classes I can duel.
your Rogue classes are decent if you can get in the first strike(backstab) Rogues are Brigands and Swashbucklers.

warlocks and wizards are neutral, can be either in either city.

A well-equipped Bruiser is going to own on the pvp servers I predict. Also a well-played Defiler is basically unbeatable in a duel, or so I hear.

Hmm, I can lay down sick DPS as a Ranger in a very short amount of time from a stealthed position. Several Rangers hitting a target at once amounts to insta death.

I am tellin you Ryan, try out EQ2 PVP servers, or just hop over to DAOC(Hib/Merlin, Alb/Gareth, or Mid/Lance) They recently banned the living crap out of 450 or so peeps for using radar programs. The game is also going through much needed balancing. After next patch it might be a hella lot more fun to play.

ugh I would if I had more time. I tried EQ2 twice...I liked it to a certain extent, but the bottom line for me was that none of my buddies were playing it. I'm still working my ass off 24/7 so finishing up level my already 56 necro was a much better solution to me than starting from scratch. I also tried WoW for about 7 months off an on and wrote it off as a kids game. I was not impressed. Realistically with time a big factor I will probably just fuck around in EQ1 until something verifiably better comes out, hopefully Vanguard.

FYI you can get the Everquest titanium pack for 20 bucks which has all the expansions and reactivate your old EQ account if you ever get the urge to play again.

EQ is 15/mo. All Access is 22/mo. You can buy EQ2/DOF for 20 bucks too.. So essentially if you have an EQ account, for 40 bucks you can get EQ/EQ2 and all expansions for both, and play both for 7 bucks more a month, as well as any other station games (Planetside, Matrix Online, SWG, EQOA, etc,etc)

Not a bad deal.
