Wireless network

Post by Minrott »

Ever since I installed a wireless network here we can't access certain pages. Say, logging in for credit card accounts, or my GF can't send mail with her Outlook. I can log into yahoo mail and other things, but also sometimes NT won't accept my posts. I disabled the firewall to see if that was blocking us somehow, but nothing changed.

Is there some port I need to open up manually or something?

The Post disablin thing on NT is an internal problem and isn't part of your wireless Network problem. Maybe check your ports to see if you're allowing those certain applications to run. Or maybe since i'm not that informed on wireless networking it doesn't let you access bank accounts for security purposes.

I got through to tech support and they had me downlowd DrTCP to adjust my "MTU size" but it didn't help.

I can't log into ebay, I cant log into credit card accounts, nothing that is secure. Yahoo mail and here are no problem obviously they're not as secure or a different kind.

Basically I can't go anywhere that Firefoxes URL bar turns yellow on.

hrm

maybe you've got something in firefox toggled that you shouldn't?

it's almost like back when you had to download a certain version to get 128bit encryption, or you couldn't log into secure sites
