I'm thinking of getting a newer laptop

I'm leaning towards something capable of playing EQ on, but i don't want to spend a retarded amount of money

any ideas?

I bought a real (no mobile) 3GHZ p4 Dell last year. Plays EQ2 just fine. I paid like 1100 for it so you should be able to score a deal on an even better machine these days.

I have begun to see notebooks with an occasional Gig of Ram and a decent video card, not shared for around 1100-1300

Yeah, mine has a 128MB ATI9700. It's old technology but still pretty solid. My laptop is not very portable though. It's more of a desktop replacement. It weighs like 12lbs...

ram isn't a big deal really, as sodimm are relatively cheap

I guess what I'm looking for is something that's still relatively mobile, with built in wirelessG

something in the p4 1.8+ range, with a decent video card, and screen
