Exp is much easier, and levelling is certainly simpler than before.

Shit might as well just download the eq clone and run your own as a char with 500k hps..

leveling is like the least important part of EQ... it's just a chore that you have to get out of the way

it's much much easier with classes that can AE, but it's doable with any class if you're quick

all you really need is a 65+ druid

have the druid pull every mob in Nurga

the toon you want to PL needs to do at least 1 damage to each mob

bards are especially easy to do this way because the lvl 2 song is as close to unresistable as you can get

Being level 70 doesn't mean shit, if you don't have the gear and AA points you still can't do anything worthwhile.

I used to think that way too

then I realized it was infinately more fun to hit up an older empty zone with friends, and twinks, and explore

grab the appropriate lvl char, and go hit all of SolA, do Dalnir, nurga, droga

hit up the Tower of Frozen Shadow

hit all of the Ykesha content that you turned your nose up at originally, and realize it's a pretty good expansion

there's a ton of content out there that's mostly ignored now, and a blast to fuck around in with the right people

Tik, you hit the main difference between my old playstyle <to win> and my new one <to have fun>. Not being in the rat race and just enjoying things makes the game so much more entertaining.

Now Drem, Yam, and 10 hurry up and get me more gear so I can be cool and pwn, you bastiges.

well, back in the day when I had lots of time, playing to win was a lot of fun

but playing casually and trying to win is impossible

playing casually just to explore the 4 or whatever expansions I missed is a heck of a lot of fun

It also helps that a bunch of my old school friends have returned, and play along the same guidelines

Yes and they come equipped with a Hammer of Dumbass. Neg. 5 to all stats plus it has Gearge Bush illusion when you equip it.
