does anyone use this software?

I need to figure out how to specify which Network Interface it attempts to join the multicast stream from

ie, nic1 is 10.34.x.x
nic2 is 192.168.x.x

when both are enabled it just doesn't work

soon as I disable nic2, I can join the multicast stream np, and can then enable nic2 and go about my business

It's a giant pain in the ass though and while I'm sure it's as simple as just specifying it somewhere, I can't find it

(no, command line is not what I'm looking for either, unless it's the ONLY way)

The only way I can find is command line, though is that really bad? Just create a shortcut to run the specific command you need with the options needed to select the correct nic.

Will check with a few others but I think your out of luck doing it non command line

Do your own fucking homework, asshole. Isn't that what you're getting paid for? Does your potential new employer know that they're hiring someone that gets their advice from a message board full of half ass video game junkies that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground?

I'm somehow messing up the syntax here

the help file indicates I need to add:
--iface <string> (where <string> = the name of the interface)

or

--iface-addr <string> (where <string> = the ip of the interface)

to me that means --iface VLC or --iface-addr 10.34.x.x

I saw a blurb in the IPV6 section mentioning that for windows it might have to be --iface="VLC" or --iface-addr="10.34.x.x" but none of these seem to work

any ideas?

You really do have sand crammed 4 feet up your bleeding pussy, don't you?

1) no, I don't get paid to fiddle with my home network
2) You're the one who doesn't know fuck all, and contributes nothing to everything thread but rabid foaming at the mouth bullshit, that unlike Ralf or other posters isn't the least bit funny/entertaining/etc etc

Even Mindia contributed something once in a while, which is less than can be said for you
