Autofire programs?
Does anyone know if an Everquest 'autofire' program exists that will just automatically mash a button for you while you're afk? (I tried one of those bobble head birds that drink from water glasses to keep hitting the keys but it didnt work!!)
I know it's against the user agreements to use 3rd party stuff but it's absolutely stupid to sit around mashing the minor shielding spell for 5 hours just so my abjure skills go up to the point that I can actually cast a spell, and I'm not gonna do it. :P

I have read that you can use a controller with the ability to hold down the button for repeated shots, which term escapes my mind atm, and then just tape the button down.

joystick macro~
basically you assign a certain ability to a non typing key (like f12 or whatever)
then you map that key (f12) to a joystick button, and just tape that button down
rangers used to do it all the time for archery
I started using ShowEQ when I stopped playing seriously back a long time ago.
If I want to log on and kill named, I'll see if they're up first. NOT waste my time running down there to kill endless amounts of useless placeholders. That's not how I want to spend my time anymore.
As for Macroquest, I played around with it once to up fishing before...too complicated to write scripts to up the other tradeskills. It's good for getting your casting skills up too, no need to sit there like a monkey clicking the same spell over and over.
If you use it to gain experience, then yes, you are a "faggot with no skill" beyond script writing.

bingo
add showeq to that list
Hehe... LoS secret: they used ShowEQ all the time back in the Velious days.![]()
I like how you used "they" instead of "we"
I saw showEQ twice, and the only real benefit to it was for quick tracking
you could accomplish the same thing with /target mob01 manually
you could also use it to see how other guilds were killing mobs, but since we were always first, it obviously wasn't useful to us that way (unlike certain other guilds~)

True, you had a whole team of developers. With proven direct access to Brad a la no drop transfers!

eh?
developers for blizzard have zero relavence to batphone
they just have more knowledge of game mechanics
Shit, I've had no drop items transferred before
It's called not being a dickwad that GM's hate
I think i've had a GM transfer 5 or 6 no drop items for me over the years (3x accidental ninja click, 2x someone ninja'd something on purpose, and item was restored)
I can't believe after all these years you still think your guilds weren't #1 simply because of inside infos, instead of the lousy leadership

/shrug. You can discuss leadership all you want. I can reference known insider info. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
The Bliz devs knew the management at SOE and talked with them. I was guilded with Ariel and the Bliz crew before they merged into LOS, so I'd argue I have pretty good insight into their situation. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's what helped LOS recruit and keep people over other guilds early on.
I was also very good friends with all three of the first server GMs. That's irrelevent, especially since they were mostly clueless about the underlying game and that situation is moreso different from Ariel calling Brad up and him ordering the GM to transfer a no drop item against SOE policy, which hadn't ever done before. Hideaki did not like LOS, which was also well known.
Your LOS time was mostly after I quit, so not sure we're talking about the same situations. My guilds can't have been that bad, as LOS did nothing but raid them for people and PR against us for the first three years of the game. Plus, I believe the majority of your officers were people who raided with me the first two years of EQ....

Saw how other guilds were killing mobs? You obviously don't know how ShowEQ works and what it is capable of
