underdogs has Iron Blitz version of it, 30 meg DL off their slow servers(or bittorrent). the AI is pretty good, and the learning curve is 5 minutes if you ever played the board game.

it's well worth the small download

Was the board game anything like Third Reich or Panzer Leader (or Squad leader/tactics)? I was raised on Avalon Hill games lol.

Naw, it was a fun game, but it was far more simplified than either 3rd Reich or Squad Leader. It's completely strategic level, and has some odd conventions to make stuff balanced. Was a good game, don't get me wrong, but if you're looking for the depth of either one of those games, you're not gonna find it.

looks like they have third reich, but it's an older game and may be difficult to get running on XP

and if you do a company search for avalon hill, they have 2 pages of games, a lot of them board games. i really can't worship underdogs enough :bowdown:
