dude, planetside was fine

it's just the lack of consistent group mates that sucks in planetside

one of the best gaming moments in any game for me was 3 of us in light tanks driving circles around a BFR and taking it out

Planetside was actually a really damn good game. I preferred a properly mod'd Tribes 2 game over PS, but it was still pretty decent.

I'm not very impressed with the BF series. The infrastructure running the game is pretty shitty and slow, not to mention the graphics aren't that great by todays standards. Oh and the physics and weapons don't behave properly AT all compared to their RL versions.

Fuck battlefield.

BF1942 was awesome because it was basically the first decent implementation of vehicles in a FPS

now that everyone else has it, it's not quite as sweet

1942 is the best first person shooter ever made. Battlefield 2 has everything 1942 does but it would be nothing without it.

original unreal tournament has that title I think, although Counter Strike is right up there too

some of the tribes 2 mods were just ridiculously well done. Great vehicles too.
