Anyone ever taken lessons? I'm debating on whether or not to take lessons.

Thanks.

Virra wants me to do this. I love to dance.

Although I would much rather learn to Tango. Is tango a ballroom dance? Hell if I know!~

My cousin is heavily into ballroom dancing and is one of the top dancers in Ohio. He got into it as a way to keep in shape.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

I've also been thinking of taking ballroom dancing lessons. Some might think it's kinda gay, but chicks love it! I don't want to take lessons without a partner tho. I need to find a chick that's interested!

Practice ballroom dancing at home, no instructor required! Buy a video or something. Worked for neopolitan dynomite.

I'd take lessons. Anyone who thinks it's gay is stuck in that high school mentality where they think everything is gay.

I'd want to learn how to dance to one song like a professional, get all the moves choreographed, then the next time you are at a wedding, request that song, blow everyone away and then quit after that song is over.

I'm wondering if there will be an increase in the interest in ballroom dancing after Antonio Banderas' movie comes out. Take the Lead!

I've always thought some of the more energetic latin dances looked like a lot of fun, but never had the courage or the inclination to take any sort of lessons.

there's about a dozen or so engineer's that I work with that take/teach ballroom dancing

I always find people who've taken dance lessons look very mechanical, and don't look like they're enjoying it at all

not when compared to the old fogies who just glide across the floor

it's hard to pin down the exact difference, but you can easily see the diff between people who took lessons, and those who grew up with that style of dancing

Yeah, instead of posting on internet message boards and playing video games old people danced. And that's probably pretty much all they did. Shit there was barely TV back then.

I've been wanting to take up ballroom dancing for a few years now. The problem is my husband isn't that interested and I would like it to be a couples thing. A girlfriend at work was talking about it today and is going to see if her hubby wants to go. If he does I'm sure mine would join in.

My mother danced for a number of years at Arthur Murreys dance here in Oregon. She has Cerebral Palsy and my grandmother had alot of unconventional ways for her day for therepy for her. She was actually very good and was granted a scholorship and danced in numerous regular competitions. She still has alot of the gowns she wore.

Anyways it sounds like alot of fun, find a hottie and go dance. :boots:
