You need to write it first, age it to the appropriate era, and bury it in the middle east somewhere.

According to this new text Jesus spoke with Judas in private, and in private said to him 'You will exceed all of them for you will sacrifice the man that clothed me.' The context clearly implies Judas only did what Jesus earlier instructed him to do

If this is true, then Jesus set himself up.

Actually, ALL of the 4 gospels currently in the new testament were written anywhere from 50-100 years after the fact. It's pretty much accepted scholarly fact that none of the gospels were actually written by actual Disciples; all of them were written later, and indeed likely cribbed off of even earlier gospels, which are currently unknown but are refered to as "The Gospel of Q"

http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_ntb1.htm

There were actually 30-40 different "Gospels" existant in early Christianity, including the gospels of Thomas, Mary, among others. It wasn't until a church council much much later codified what books would and would not be in the bible (thus creating the Apocrypha and Pseudopygrapha, which were the works that almost made it into the bible, but were deliberately excluded for 1 reason or another).

Oh, and as for the "Gospel of Judas", it wasn't written in 300AD. If you read the article, the copy we have is a TRANSLATION that was made in 300AD. The original document was much older.

the manuscript was penned around 300 A.D. as a translation from an earlier version written in Greek.

well considering i dont consider the christian new testament as "inspired scripture", doesnt really matter to me anyway.
baby gospel, gospel of mary, thomas etc were thrown out for good reason. they were obviously written by gnostic monks

the one i like is the hebrew gospel of matthew.

Stop the presses. Arlos and I agree.

It was copied from other documents, which is very feasible. Its timeframe is consistent and makes it believable.

Most of the bible was copied long afterwards. The Vulgate is even further out from this translation.

What's interesting is even those who know Latin still miss out on some of the original meanings from Saint Jerome's translations. Those reading a bible in English are getting something that's been copied at least 3 times and probably not transferring a literal meaning.

Speaking of recently recovered documents, I found the long lost sequel to the 10 commandments. It was behind my radiator

its all:

"And moses walked down from the mountain, and he did say to the people:

Hey dudes. This whole 10 commandments thing is kind of hard to memorize, so the lord our god consolidated them into one golden rule. here it is:"

Amen brother, and I thought you were a buddist. I think this find is a revelation, I can't say why exactly but growing up a catholic I always felt kinda bad for Judas. And I think yes, his actions could have been motivated by a higher power as a means to an end.

'Forgive them Father, they know not what they do.' Scripture is rife with Divine Intervention of all sorts. A testement transcribed only 300 years after the actual events isn't really a negative. Judas may have been called to do this and in his faith, he executed the divine plan. He certainly would have been shunned by his contemporaries.

Thousands of 'prophets' were executed by Rome. 2006 years later, which one do we remember? Just chance? Maybe not.

At any rate it's curious to question now in this current world circumstance whether Judas was a betrayer, or a righteous hand of God. Funny that it shows up now, and all that it implies.

OT Hey Mindia, how you been?

Hey Sorina, I'm doin great thanks. I agree with you that Judas' betrayal was all part of the plan anyway. He could have changed, but God knew he wouldn't.

Matthew 27:3-10 (KJV): "3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he
saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the
thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 Saying, I
have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said,
What is that to us? see thou to that. 5 And he cast down the pieces of
silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself
. 6 And
the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful
for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. 7
And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury
strangers in. 8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood,
unto this day.

Compared to:

Acts 1:16-19 (KJV): "16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs
have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake
before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. 17
For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. 18
Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling
headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out
.
