Dude, grab a shovel and dig the buildup of sand you have in your giant gaping pussy. I don't see how sound advice is useless.

Show up nicely dressed. Plead guilty and opt for supervision. If you can't get that take traffic school.

The only thing that's useless in this whole thread is your pussy attitude, your me me me crying because you don't think you should get a ticket for admittedly speeding, and the fact that of all places you cry because you're being flamed on NT.

Grow a cock and some balls kid. You take a relatively simple situation and turn it into a whining, crying stroke my sore pussyfest.

Dylan, you shouldn't ask for serious advice and then slam people who are offering it.

This is all you need to say.

All that extra bullshit just makes me not pay attention to your "advice"

And for you guys with your "man up and pay it" bullshit, fuck you. You're fucking stupid. There is asolutely no reason to pay a ticket for a retarded reason like this. I hope you get pulled over by a holier than thou cop and get a ticket just like mine so you can realize this.

I didn’t know this before it was too late but in Connecticut, if you dispute a ticket and you go guilty just to get it knocked down you get points against your license. If you just pay the ticket you don't get any points against your license.

I found out the hard way when I went to dispute a $225 speeding ticket. I ended up going guilty (versus the alternative which is "not guilty" and having to hire a lawyer and going to trial and skipping a day(s) of work) and it got knocked down to $100.00 but I incurred two points against my license which will most likely = a driver retraining class and a higher insurance premium

But if there is a chance you can get the ticket thrown out without having to go to trial, then thats awesome. But it IS a chance because if you get a dick judge that makes you go guilty or not guilty, it's gonna end up sucking more than the price of the initial ticket in the long run.

I think I'm gonna go talk to my insurance agent about it too, but he is really busy all the time so I'm not really sure what to do.

I've fought the past 4 tickets I've received (all speeding, mostly 5-10 over), all but one I got the points waved. This is within the past 7-8 years or so.

What I've found is dressing nice helps I don't care who says what, when the judge looks at you, his mind is made up right there IMHO.

I've also found that being first SUCKS. Hopefully and as Gyps said, there are serveral folks "inline" for this. Hell one time it was a office with 10 chairs in it, no "court room" like the others I'd been to. The judge in this case was a dick head (aka Karthart's example), the 3 folks in front of me got this sort of thing from the judge "You know there are points on these tickets for a reason . . .!!! . . .!!!". By the time it was my turn I just sat down and explained why i was there, "I came here to pay the fine and ask if the court would waive the points, I see now that isn't going to happen, sorry for taking your time". I figured I'd get out ASAP, but o no, the judge gaving me an assraping about this that the other thing why laws exist and why you shouldn't break them. I thought he was going to raise the fine and maybe even do worse.

So, the moral of my story is, going to court, I'm sure you could find statistics that say, the majority get "less" however if you get that prick judge, you could get a lot more then you ever wanted or deserved.

Get a new agent. Your agent should never be too busy to talk to you about your policy.

Btw, wtf are these points you are talking about? Vonk? Vonk's RL Little Brother? Do we have points here?

Pretty sure every state has points.. but I could be wrong. Typically (in the states I know of) you can only get so many points before your license is taken away.

I actually think we have a three strikes, youre out thing here. Within a certain amount of time, of course. I have never heard a judge talk about "points". How odd.
I know I saw something in NY about points, but I always thought they were talking about cabbies. :v:

Dylan, Show up before court opens. Be in the courtroom when they let people in. The Baliff will then call names. if you are their. 90% of the time they will say this and that and then say "If you wish to plead down at this time you may when we say your name"
Just plead down when they say your name and the judge at that time normally gets people with impeeding traffic which again is just pay the fine which is court costs and be on your merry way without getting points.

I have done it 7 times..
I have no points and impeeding goes away after three months so you can impeed away again!
To all my freaks out there,
