Malaysia is a very multi-racial country - especially (where I live). Penang is also known for it's awesome food throughout Southeast Asia. This island is about 65% Chinese, 20% Malay, Indian next, and other ethnicities. The Malays are legaly required to be Muslims. Their food is much sweeter and saltier than Indian or Chinese food. Chinese food here is mostly Cantonese or Hokkien consisting of dishes usually served with rice or noodles. It's usually not very spicy. Muslim Indians and Hindu Indians food are similar, but the Hindu Indians food will be much more spicy.

So basically we have a lot of great Chinese, Indian, and Malay food. You can also find a good deal of Thai and Indonesian food here. Food here is very cheap and very good. I NEVER eat at home.

OMG... those poor people. :-x I see some Christian evangelism potential in that area. Anyway, the food there is right up my alley. I love Cantonese-prepared food. I'm looking to expand my cooking horizons. I learned a lot about Indian food so I cook a lot of that. Have you ever had Chicken Tika Masala or Butter Chicken? It's the bomb.

My mother was actually born and raised in India. I've grown up eating Indian food all my life. So yes I've tried both of those dishes. I can guarantee you that any Chinese food you have in the States will be nothing like real Chinese food. I'm sure there are a very select few restaraunts that have the real thing, but I've never come across them during my time in the States.

All you really have to know about the food here is that it's absolutely fantastic.

I have a friend who manages a computer store up in Reno. He's an immigrant from China, and he says the same thing about the Chinese food here. He said the closest he's ever tasted to traditional Chinese home-cooking in America was down in L.A. somewhere. I have 2 roommates, both of whom are also immigrants. Ramish is from the Bombay region of India, and Waqar is a Pakistani Muslim. They both taught me some killer Indian recipes. Some of that stuff lights your mouth and gut on fire though. :eyecrazy:

Things do not always have to be a big deal and have a formal process to them. Don't worry about declaring a relationship and asking eachother out, go with the flow of things for now and enjoy yourself. The only official words that passed between Aryylas and I was when we told eachother how we felt about eachother. Over the next few days we just kind of slipped into being closer and closer, first kiss, all those good things. No one ever officially asked anyone "out" or to be their signifigant other, we just went with the flow of things and eventually having a relationship just became an understood thing, no words needed to be said about it.

Just go with it, express your feelings to her if you feel like it, give it some time talk to her about it after a few weeks if you feel the need. (ie. "I know we have been a lot closer lately and I was just wondering if we could talk about what this means for us.") Honestly if she is just coming out of a relationship she might be afraid to put the words out and talk about dating and crap. Sometimes it doesn't matter whats said though, its what you feel and what you know.

Good luck. By the way, she is absolutely stunning!

Well I'm not gonna comment on this topic anymore but I really believe you fucked up big time if you were expecting to spend your life with this woman, but if you weren't and just wanted a quick lay then my bad I must have misinterpreted the thread.

Let me know if I'm right in a few weeks/months, and if in 30 years you're still with her, I'll buy you a coke.

From one man to another, this looks painfully familiar.

That was a pathetic attempt at an insult.

I supplied ample ammunition for you to use and that's your best? :ugh:

Yah, we're pretty much just going with the flow of things at this point. I couldn't wish for things to go better than they are right now. Thanks for everyone's advice whether I followed it or not

I'm sorry man, but what she wanted, what all women want, is a tease, just as bad as men do. And no I don't mean want it, I mean it's what keeps us (as sexual human beings) going. Now that you've given her everything, i.e. sex without the reprocussions of a relationship, she doesn't see there any need to take it any further than friends with benefits. Which, i'm sorry to say, is only good for people who never see eachother, if that. Good luck, nontheless.

Bullshit, that's a guys mentality. Not a girls.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Ok Martrae, you think a girl like that wants to settle down and have kids? Or dinners with candles and whine with neat little placemats and decorative plates? Think again.

Maybe not that far Jazendar, but I disagree with the originating post...

If she's past 20, she doesn't want a "bad boy" anymore.

Between 20 and 25, they're just all fucked up mentally, I'm steering clear of them from now on.

25+ thanks  At least then they'll only be partially fucked up in the head (they do lack a penis, automatically setting them back eons mentally)

So what Jazendar is saying is us women wouldn't know anything about what we want or how we think, but he and other guys, who have been fucking up for hundreds of years in the ongoing pursuit of trying to find out what we want, and still will continue to fuck up for years to come, know exactly what we want and how we think.

I see....
