I agree with tacks...it rates right up their with those fags who get married in game or go find a secluded spot for cyb0rs.

I trained a wedding once in EQ. It was awsome...fucked the whole thing up.

Nice music, but if you are going to promote your guild, have someone with better than complete n00b editing skills make the video.

/shrug. Its a PVP server. Post a public gathering, given the open nature of WOW PVP and the ease of spies, then one should expect that.

TFS had a funeral for Rocsolid in EQ recently. He was sick and in a lot of pain and the game probably served as a good escape from that. He had a lot of friends ingame and the game really did become a good portion of his life the last 6 years or so. I think the idea of having a funeral in game makes sense for those players that couldnt make it to the real funeral. On some level I think it helps 1) Bring people closer together that are dealing with the tragedy 2) Helps people to say goodbye to a friend. I also think Roc was so much into EQ that he would have been pleased to hear aboout it.

Soo.. as far as roleplaying funerals in game.. I don't even look at it as roleplaying. I look at it just as another way to show respects to someone who has passed.. just like sending flowers, making donations, etc.

And yes.. you play on a pvp server expect people to be assholes regardless of what event is goin on.

A memorial is fine for remembering a recently deceased friend in game. You'd think they'd use more common sense than to do it in-game and be sitting ducks for blood thirsty PVPers. But hey, who uses common sense in MMOs?
