Tax Freedom Day fast approaching

April 26th is this year's Tax Freedom Day. Every year Americans have to work a certain number of days to pay their total tax bill. The day after that time period is called Tax Freedom Day.


Gotta love a system that has people paying more in taxes in a year than they pay in housing, food and clothing combined.




Can you imagine the uproar if employers quit withholding and everyone had to write out that check to the government themselves every week/month/year?

Can you imagine the uproar of driving down a road that is full of potholes and ends in the middle of the desert? Or being invaded by another country?

Taxes pay for lots.

Tomorrow, when you're walking/driving/flying/boating/breathing. Take time and notice all the things that are run by our tax dollars.

You cannot seriously believe everything that's paid for by tax dollars is necessary. You are acting like I said get rid of taxes entirely. I'd just like to see those in charge of spending our hard earned money use it wisely instead of to increase their own power.

Hey guys at my last job I was paid about 55k a year before I started my biz... But the gov't actually paid 235k a year for me to my company SAIC.

My managers pretty much had me in meetings all day working on a grossly overfunded and fuct up Navy project that eventually failed.

When I wasn't in meetings which, seriously, amounted to about 15 hours a week, I was crunching spreadsheets and working in Access.

235k a year to attend meetings and run Excel. Thats government spending for you.

Oh and by the way... My project manager who frittered away 30million and caused the project to fail, which by the way was her third failed project in a row, just moved right on to another 10 million dollar project; She had tenure so she couldn't be fired.
