Well then.... You'll have to give us a better reason than that to be mean to you again...

Off topic, but why is it that when you're not available girls come on to you like crazy. When you're single the girls are so much harder to find!

Its Pherimones ( spelling) In a relationship you emit more of them ( assuming your having sex). A case study a friend was showin me said something bout people who have more sex are in general more attractive to members of the opposite sex becuase they are just covered in them. I dont know if thats true or not but i readit so i thought id share.

That's very possible, but I was experiencing it even before I started having sex with my girl.

I probably shouldn't even bother trying to explain things, but I always try to look at things from other perspectives.. but trying to force myself into this guy's shoes and trying to understand why he did this is pretty damn hard.

I mean.. ok.. his blog says he's depressed because of a lack of a sex life, and that his fantasies have been getting weirder and weirder.. Ok, so, he started fantasizing about children? Err.. why? Is it possible that he was so socially deprived of attention that the general "cuteness" of younger children somehow became sexually attractive to him? I mean, right there should be the point where you say "ok what the hell is wrong with me, I need help."

I guess his twisted fantasies got the better of him.. I guess he was so deprived and depressed that he felt he had to go through with it.. Maybe he just wanted to prove something to himself? Either way, I think the main factor was his social isolation, which is evident in his blogs. It's my opinion that when you feel alone for so long, you begin to think differently.. You become your own best friend, and you talk to yourself and let your imagination become the core of your life, instead of your experiences and other people. That is where I think people like this come from. They don't, for the most part, fit in with society, so they create their standards since they feel disconnected from the established ones. I'd guess that is how he was able to justify his behavior inside his head.

Regardless, it's all speculation.. I don't know why I try to explain things. I guess it's the little kid inside of me that's always asking "why?" I can sleep better at night if I give myself some sort of answer.

Diekan wrote:I want to know how Bush being in the White House has made your life better. Seriously, I am not trying to instigate an argument or anything of the sort. I am really curious why Bush supporters are so to begin with.

The man wanted to cut out over time for over 8 million workers across the country. He has weakened environmental laws allowing companies to do greater harm to the planet. He's given huge tax breaks to the rich and allowing companies free reign to send jobs abroad.

So, those are the bad... but I wanna hear what the republican supports on this board think. Why do YOU think Bush is the man for the job?

Diekan wrote:You give the average American a decent paying job, where he or she can actually afford to support a family on 40 hours per week, put something aside for retirement, and actually have enough left over to... ohh my God... take a vacation once a year... and they won't bitch and moan about taxes as much. They won't care, as much, about how much the rich are paying.

This isn't the case in the grand ole US of A anymore. We have to fight for 10 and 12 dollar an hour jobs now... work 10 to 20 hours a week over time just to pay the fucking rent. All the while those rich cocksuckers sit back and decide they can make more money sending our jobs over-seas... then bitch about how they have to pay the majority of taxes for the country.

As stated on the Glenn Beck show... "there are plenty of jobs out there." These fucking morons need to spend a few million and buy a clue. There ARE plenty of jobs out there... plenty of 9, 10 and 12 dollar an hour jobs. There is a reason those jobs are available... because they DON'T PAY ENOUGH TO SURVIVE ON.

We're all supposed to sit back, live in our shacks, feed our families Ramen noodles, and be thankful we have our 10 dollar an hour jobs... and cheer on the rich people who are fucking us in the ass by screwing us out of a decent wage, over charging us on everything from cable to rent, laying us off to send our jobs to Peru to increase their collective salaries, and cry for them because they are SUPPOSEDLY paying the majority of the countries taxes?

Fuck the rich and fuck republicans.

Ohh and another thing... supposedly the un-employment rate has gone down some. I am willing to bet money that the rate has gone down because people have given up on finding a decent paying job and have settled with those 9, 10 and 12 dollar an hour jobs (as listed above) because it was either that or starve to death. So, yeah I can see the un-employment rate dropping some... but let's take a look at the under-employment rate... let's see how families are living in the now... you just can't sit back and say "well un-employment has dropped some things are looking good." No, they aren't... things will start looking up when people can look in the mirror and feel good about what they do and are able to survive without having to work 50 jobs and 40 hours a week over time.

And, I am still waiting for the republican supporters here to tell me why their man is the right choice for the job. I hear a lot of Kerry hating, but nothing about why Dubya is a better choice... how is your life been bettered since George "my daddy got me out of Vietnam" Bush has been in office?

Hell, I think it should be televised! Put the executions on late night cable access. Better yet, give them their own channel; DTV (Death Television). Then all you pansies can just turn it off and pretend the world is nifty. FAG!

piers :teehee:

That's a great gumdrop world you live in where crimes can be described as, "someone kills another person." At what level? Who gets killed by the government, for what crimes? Any chance of appeal? If I got drunk and accidentally killed a guy riding a bike to work, should I be killed by the state? What if I only took a Vicodin, was totally okay to drive but I spilled coffee on my legs and crashed into him... the Vicodin means I was driving under the influence... is that equally irresponsible? Kill em all? Bad ass. Let's just start killing ALL criminals... fuck the appeals too, right? God I'd love it if you agreed with me.

You nitwits are arguing about the most complex judicial system in the world... and supposedly the most fair. We have 3 choices... we can try to FIX the many errors in the system, which nobody HERE is talking about... we can start killing EVERYONE, which puts us in the same category as a Somali warlord (not that we aren't already in such illustrious company)... or we can abolish the death penalty and punish our criminals in a more civilized manner. This ensures that mistakes aren't made... it allows for TRUE due process... It's a much more humane and simple method to deal with the problems of our justice system. Criminals are still punished... off the street... the cost is DECREASED... life goes on.

Didn't you just post this earlier in the thread? Come up with new material, please, treehugging liberal.

Firsd, think for yourself, I know you are smarter than that, Vonk. If someone kills someone else violently and premeditated, then they deserve to die themselves. Before someone starts drinking I'm quite sure they don't think to themselves that they are going to get completely trashed and run over a pedestrian.

Secondly, my taxes pay for that piece of shit killer to lift weights, watch his cable TV and eat every day for the rest of his pathetic life. Why should I pay for that dreg of society to live another moment?

I swear, you hippy fags lost your common sense after smoking that first bowl.

Agr, how about we turn prison into what is once was, you get a library, three squares, a cot, and no cable TV. You work 8 to 9 hours a day making license plates for the State, you have work crews of less offenders picking shit up on the roads, patching highways, and generally paying society back. All money saved by these useless individuals goes to feed them. If you suck and taring the road its beans and rice bitch. If you actually do your damn job and it looks good, fried chicken and spuds.

Agrajag... If I'm repeating myself it's because you are failing to grasp this simple concept:

You pay THREE to SEVEN TIMES MORE in taxes to execute a man than you would if he were to serve a life sentence.

I really shouldn't have to say that again...

"Think for yourself, now here's my opinion..." :ugh:

Hi, I *am* thinking for myself. Taking a human life is wrong, whether it's by a premeditated gang-rape assault or a premeditated murder by a government executioner in a quiet underground room in a texas prison. Wrong is wrong is wrong. That's MY opinion. We are here debating these opinions... how the fuck is that not 'thinking for (my)self?' The only 'not thinking' here is your failure to argue any of my points - outside of the constant, "HE KILLED, HE NEEDS TO DIE!!!" I've given you a hundred points and you keep going back to that.

Ganzo made these debates somewhat interesting.

Question to all the supposed libertarian, anti-government anarchists.

Why are we empowering the government with the responsibility to do something that it deems very wrong?

One of the major reasons I'm against the death penalty is its completely hypocritical. People shouldn't get carried away by there emotions. If killing is wrong, it's wrong for everyone, no exceptions.

Bringing religion into this... If you believe in the Judeo-Christian laws, then you would agree that *killing* is wrong. The 6th Commandment from Exodus 20: "Thou Shalt Not Kill." Then Jesus *affirmed* this commandment in Matthew 19:18 "...thou shalt not murder..."

The question then becomes, "Is capital punishment 'murder' or 'killing?'" I wouldn't think so. When we hear about how a person brutally tortured and killed another person, especially a child, we get enraged. Usually the first thoughts that hit us are along the lines of "KILL THE BASTARD!!!" which I think is a *natural* and *normal* reaction to such a heinous crime. Capital punishment seems like a justifiable way to deal with dangerous criminals.

I'm still in favor of the death penalty. Maybe it's a sin, maybe not. "Thou shalt not kill" certainly doesn't pertain to war, as God Himself has *killed* people throughout the Old Testament, and has also said in Exodus 14:13-14 – “And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.14 [b]“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.â€

That whore who accused those Duke Lacrosse students of rape should be locked up for life. There is overwhelming evidence that she made up the whole story. I'm so sick of bitches that try to ruin the lives of innocent guys through lies and deceit.

I repeat myself on this: On a completely abstract level, I have a lot less issue with the concept of particularly heinous murderers being put to death as punishment for their crimes.

However, we do not live in a world of abstracts, we live in the real world. The unfortunate collory of that fact is that justice is IMPERFECT. As a result, innocent people *ARE* convicted of crimes, including murder. Therefore, I CANNOT support the death penalty in our real world justice system. The idea that the Government could kill in cold blood someone who had done NO wrong whatsoever, just had the bad luck to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.... It's truly a terrifying concept.

Reasonable doubt is *NOT* enough, when you're discussing something as absolute and final as death. We are imperfect, therefore our justice system is imperfect, and should not therefore have power of life and death over the population.
