something keeps jacking my homepage

Post by Tikker »

on my work pc

I only visit 2 sites, yahoo.com, and dslreports.com(it's a forum for mostly technical stuff) and my homepage keeps getting reset to msn.com

it doesn't happen with this machine, but I'm using firefox, where as at work I'm locked into using IE6

it doesn't happen everytime I hit dslreports, but only happens when I hit there, if that makes sense

nor can I tell exactly when it happens

any ideas? (other than stop going to dslreports, or use firefox, neither are an option)

Did you run hijack this, Tik and see if anything in the registry is doing the dirty?

it's clean

it's also not doing it today

I kind of suspect that it was probably something embedded in some users sig picture or something to that affect

Could be a corrupt profile as well. Are you part of a domain? Is your profile stored locally? Roaming?

yes, part of a domain, not roaming

doubt that it's stored locally

but I'm the only one having issues, and only when I visit this particular site
