That game last night sucked for true. That tie up goal was shit tikker and you know it, not only did the high stick not get called but BS that he didn't kick it in. He kicked it you could see it happen.

In the end it may not have mattered because they would have gone into OT and maybe lost anyway. But that tie up goal was a bad ref call. Looks like I'm back to EQ on hockey night LOL

eh, it wasn't a high stick

if the puck is lower than his shoulder when he makes contact, it's playable

the over the crossbar thing is only applied if the puck is directed into the net

watching the replay, it looked more like the detroit guy pushed it into the net
lemme see if I can find a pic of it

To me on the replay looked like the puck was pushed in..not kicked. The puck was in his midsection when he was hit, and as it dropped he was pushed into the net, the puck fell and might have hit a skate, but it has to be a kicking motion for it to be overturned.

There was no diffiniative view of a "kicking motion" so good no overturn by the refs imho. I was actually rooting for Detroit too.

Didn't look like a kick to me either, and I didn't care either way who won. You honestly think a video ref would overlook a blatant call, when he knows the review is going to get looked at by Bettman later? They want to keep working, so they ain't THAT dumb.

Kiprusoff wasn't that bad

no matter how good a goalie is, you're never going to win scoring a goal every other game

I was actually pretty impressed with Anaheim, they outworked Calgary, which is pretty hard to do

It was interesting to see the top 4 seeds in the east made it to the second round while in the West the bottom 4 won their series. I guessed there are more parity in the west than the east.

edit: i read this somewhere, the habs have won a cup in every decade since the NHL started, they have another few years left to win in the 2000s

Exciting game tonight between Ottowa and Buffalo. The Sabres won in overtime 7 - 6. They scored 18 seconds into the overtime on a turnover.

So will Edmonton go back to their game tonight, or will they keep up the trap against SJ like they did against the Wings?

I think they will go back to their game since the Sharks is mostly a dump and chase team while the Red Wings is a possession team.

The Ducks won again. Their goalie, Bryzgalov, is red hot. He now has three shutouts in a row.

if the rest of the series is that good, I almost don't care the outcome

although, I'd like to see a little more 1/3 periods, and less 2nd period
