Also, you typically get 3x the work from the mexican at 1/3 the hourly rate of the average white guy. If I could find some mexicans who want to do HVAC, I will hire them in a heartbeat, this goes for the legal workers, I will never hire an illegal.
That BS i'll always use good contractor over mexican if i can afford it on a job because i can get reliable work done that i will not haveto replace in 2 years

Believe me, I will always use the best I can find, regardless of what they cost me. For the most part, however, mid 20s Mexicans are the hardest workers.

I retract my statement due to the fact that I am unsure which side I am on.

I give you that, they are hard workets, but as far as skill goes, they got under a year expirience and will skip on you at first sign of mistake/problem on the job that they create

Again I will say, I have no problem with people coming to the US legally. I don't care what nationality you are, where you're coming from, what language you speak, what religion you are, or anything else for that matter.

We have laws and rules that should be followed. If you want to come to the US and make a better life for yourself. Fine, go for it - but do it fucking LEGALLY.

Why is that so hard to grasp? Why is that to much to ask for?

In the San Francisco bay area, Mexicans were notorious for supplying "Mexican dirt weed" or "ragweed."

Hey Sorina, Gordon Trucking, Inc. (GTI) pays .41/mi. solo and .50/mi. team. Plus they have cool bonuses. Check em out:

http://www.gordontrucking.com

The only thing I don't care for is their home time. With a dedicated run, you work 6 days a week, 1 day off. Or you can do a OTR run and work 21 days straight, and then get 5 days off. That's just not enough time off in my opinion, but you can make an asspile of money.

Come to think of it... this might be a tremendous opportunity for Harrison to make bank... tattoos and all! : ) They guarantee 2600 miles a week, and the average is 3000 miles. 3000 miles x .41 = wtf am I doing in an office job? Or roughly, $5325/mo. You have to pretty much live in the damned truck though... :ugh:

hahahah, been there....done...that ..hahhaah

I garner 18$ an hour (and OT), read that, AN HOUR...in the truckin business there is nothing more coveted than being paid by The HOUR...keep your miles, I'll out earn you any week of the year.

However, for some hombre startin out thats a pretty sweet payday. If I was a new driver I'd look into that.

As far as the Mexican dirt weed is concerned, well, I wouldn't know ^,~ I get piss tested 4 times a year and I never know when it's coming ^,~. Damn I haven't been high since 1992...or so...@@!

.41 solo is awsome .50 team blows, should be .55 or more. You never get home, I ran 23 months straight without a day off when I started driving, no shit. Try sleepin in a team truck, hahahahahahah. They should give ya combat pay.

My advice, if you wanna be a trucker it's real easy. Go to school get your CDL. Hook up with a long haul company and pack alot of preperation H. After a year or so you'll get some respect, start lookoin for a decent job. There's one thing I can gaurutee you, you'll always have a good payin job.

Anyways, if you do it I'll see ya out there.

Are you with the Teamsters now? I'm not gonna get into trucking. I've got my eye on a personnel manager / HR position that pays $18/hr. to start. I already went to 2 interviews so far with them, and now it's the waiting game. I'm in insurance now, but sales pretty much sucks, although there are growth spurts here and there that are pretty decent. Oh, and the last time I smoked weed I was like 22 years old. I'm 39 now. lolz

Nope non union, if I was I'd be making $23.50 an hour. but I'd be owned by the company. You got yer eye on some kinda manager position, errr...some kinda thing where they poke you in the eye and see if you can catch fish in your mouth. Yea that's cool, funny though Min I thought you were a nail bender (feins suprise)

You know why insurance sales suck? Because people never insure what they got for what it's worth.

Growth spurts happen, here, there, just about anywhere that we don't want em to. Ususally they're a pain in the ass.

But hell man you're 39, buy a house. Buy two if you can afford it. Here's a clue, you don't need to smoke weed to be successful, but in your case, it couldn't hurt. lolz ^,~

Do what you gotta do Min, you're on the cusp now. Take what they offer and make it your own. All the best man. I mean like, what was the question? where was the insult? is this NT? All the best mate~

I was a nail bender for about 4 years. Full apprenticeship completed, journeyman. Work is too hit-and-miss though. I'm going to buy a piece of land and build my own house eventually. I'm going to sub out the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roof tiling, and painting though. Most architects around the Sacramento area are on crack and charge $4+ per sq. ft. for plans. Up in Reno they charged around $1.50 - $2.00 /ft.

Depends, I work for a leasing company. We supplement companies during their busy seasons. Typically I work 10 to 12 hours a day on the clock. In Nov and Dec I can work up to 16 sometimes 18 hours a day for Toys R Us, hey youre not DOT right? I meant to say I never work more than 12 hours a day and never more than eight days a week. ^,~

My only luxury is that I been with my company long enough to have em cut me a break when I need it. I do however hold the record for the highest gross paycheck of any employee in the company. If they need me Im there if they can cut me some slack they do. Im a lucky guy.

@Min~ I admire your aspirations dude, cant quite understand why you left Reno, awsome country out there. But I wish you all the best, prayers goin out you man.

I got tired of the snow, the 120mph wind storms, the instability of union work, the wages and salaries not being commensurate with the cost of living, etc. Plus, I wanted to be closer to my family in the Sacramento area.
