Age has nothing to do with aqcuiring knowledge.

While it's not true in every case, but more often than not, age goes hand and hand with the acquiring of knowledge. Not to say that that makes all 80 year olds geniuses, but you could stand to learn a lot from people who are older than you are. Your refusal and reluctance to take advantage of knowledge and wisdom from people who are older than you clearly shows you're 1) A retard 2) close minded and 3) egotistical.

I just don't say anything unless I have an undeniable conviction that I am right. There is no evidence to me that his relationship will last, all evidence be it from personal experience, others experience or human psyche says it won't.

Same goes for evidence that it won't last. There is nothing concrete saying that this will or will not work. The whole point here is to try, and if it fails, hey at least you know you went for it and did whatever you could to take something good and try to make it something better. Did you have a bad experience with puppy love or something? You sound like a 17 year old who had his heart broken by a girl he thought he loved. In any person's lifetime, most of their relationships fail. If a man has dated 4 women and marries the fifth one, he's got a 20% success rate (not to mention the 57% chance that he will get a divorce but that's a whole nother thread).[/u]

I would agree with this, but I think the majority of parents out there are responsible and offer sound advice and guidance to their children. Some parents are total smacktards though, and I wonder why they even procreated.

Why not? Is she shy? Not talkative? Do you ever approach her and ask her for advice? Pick her brain. Maybe she can offer you some thoughtful insight based on her life experience.

p.s. I still ask my parents for advice from time to time, even at 39 years old. There's no shame in that whatsoever.
