they lose many congressional seats in midterm elections... this is an interesting article form the New York Times...

Quote from the beginning of the article:

"To anyone who doubts the stakes for the White House in this year's midterm Congressional elections, consider that Representative John Conyers Jr. of Michigan, the Democrat who would become chairman of the Judiciary Committee if his party recaptured the House, has called for an inquiry into the possible impeachment of President Bush over the war in Iraq.

Or listen to Senator Patrick J. Leahy of Vermont, who would run the Senate Judiciary Committee if the Democrats took the Senate. Mr. Leahy vowed in a recent interview to subpoena top administration officials, if he got the chance, to answer more questions about their secret eavesdropping program and what he considers faulty prewar intelligence.

The prospect of the administration spending its last two years being grilled by angry Democrats under the heat of partisan spotlights has added urgency to the efforts by Karl Rove and Mr. Bush's political team to hang on to the Republican majorities in Congress......."

Bush sure lived up to his self-applied monicker of "I'm a uniter, not a divider", eh?

The Patriot Act. Imminent Domain. Protecting our boards… errr opps we’re not really doing anything about that. It’s more fun to spy without a warrant then it is to take away the cash cow that is the illegal working pool away from our voting base.

i thought it was funny when lewis black was talking about how they didn't find WMDs and he was kind of like: "why did they stop lying all of a sudden?? I could've sent two fucking kids to Kinko's and they would've said "take these and put the nuke on the camel's back"

umm Yeah, did you guys see Feinstein yesterday? The DEMs have no clue, the GOP has no clue. I know you guys are frustrated and you actually follow this shit. I'm just stunned. We have no leadership in this country at the moment and yet we blunder forth. A serious threat looms in Iran, and still we blunder on...

It's difficult to make intelligent decisions about political leaders when all the politicians are morons. Frankly, I'm stymied. I wish we could referendem a no confidence vote. Bring in some fresh meat, these guys we got in there are gettin ripe.

Then again, I been a thought criminal for a long time~

I'm too lazy to pull the actual statistic, but I know it's over 85% of incumbants get re-elected regardless of the corruption, lies or shear stupidity shown during their previous sessions. I ran against a guy who's own family didn't want him anywhere near their business (trucking I believe) because he was a moron and I got crushed. He had an approval rating of 55% going into the election and just ignored my campaign. I got 13% of the votes. People just don't care or are too ignorant to know what is going on in Washington.
