Might the ATL Johnson deal not look quite as retarded if they'd drafted Chris Paul instead of the guy they did draft?

Had the S&T been done at a reasonable price then maybe, yes.

But they signed him to a max deal when everyone knew he wasn't worth it. They traded a player that useless franchise couldn't get any productivity out of and he became MIP with his new team. They traded TWO 1st round picks for him.

It's just terrible. Obviously had they drafted Paul they would be better, but the trade is still awful.
