I'll prolly get thrown under the bus, but....

It's really not a bad idea at this point of Everquest. Not specifically LOS but any guild that is struggling for numbers might as well entertain the idea of mergers.

You get your recruits from guilds that are usually just beneath you anyway. The people who pout about it are the ones just looking for an excuse to quit.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more server mergers actually

the design teams biggest problem is they insist on putting out new content, new zones

instead of just reworking some of the older ones, and making the game seem more alive

Its a business decision to try to milk as much cash out as possible, without the long term health of the game in mind.

It's the same idiotic model they are using for EQ2.

Expansions every 6 months is just a really bad idea, especially when most of your player base is working adults.

I couldn't see LoS merging with Euph. Rey is right though, it wouldn't be a bad idea merging with an up and coming guild. I think LoS did it twice in their history, albeit early in their history.

I know they merged with Storm Reavers when I was in SR. Not sure what the second was.

THe only thing that's detrimental to guilds from merging is the whole bundled deal of getting a bunch of shitty players with all the good players... picking people selectively works a lot better.

I agree with Tikker too, that content needs reworked. Seems strange to get drops from daosheen in PoR that are equivelant to drops from little curse flag mobs in DoD...
