If you don't want jalepenos on your sub sandwich don't distract the girl who's making it for you with flirtation.

my nose is running and my tongue is on fire >.<

Subways up here don't carry Jalepenos anymore. Almost makes me want to live in a crime infested shit hole in the US for a while.

You're in pain and crying because of some puny jalapenos? Wimp.

If they were Habaneros, then you'd have cause for complaint, but jalapenos are puny.

Not pain per se, just unexpected. I like hot food at times, but today I was in for a more relaxing sandwich experience. Instead I tried to finish the sandwich before I ran out of cool refreshing Dr. Pepper.

P.S. She has a great smile.

I am half Mexican, when I was a kid, we ALWAYS had spicey stuff, and it never phased me. Now, after my kids, I can't even eat red sauce on a pizza without getting bad indegestion. If I eat anything spicey, my asshole burns with retaliation for two days.

Habaneros are hardcore, to be sure.

I've mentioned it before, but there's a pub here in the bay area (The Prince of Wales, on 25th avenue in San Mateo) that sells a habanero hamburger.

You've all seen those salsas you can get at the supermarket deli section, that are in the refrigerated section in clear plastic tubs, that are chock full of chunks of tomatoes, onions, etc, yes?

Well, the salsa they put on that burger looks very like that, but the big hunks aren't tomatoes, they're habaneros. Covers the entire burger, and they layer it on pretty thick.

The pub at least used to make people sign a release form before they'd let you order it, and anyone who does order it gets a bumper sticker that says "I survived the Habenero Hamburger at the Prince of Wales".

I've never even been remotely insane enough to try the thing. I did manage to convince 2 people to do so, however.

1 was always talking up his spicy-food prowess, and he'd been married to a mexican lady, and loved the ultra-hot food her relatives would serve. Well, by the time he was halfway through the burger, he was sweating so bad the inside of his glasses fogged up. rofl. He never did finish the thing, and then he missed the next 2 days of work due to "ring of fire" issues.

The 2nd was my nextdoor neighbor, who WAS mexican. When he first started the burger, he loudly wondered if they'd put enough salsa on it. By 3/4 of the way through the burger, he was in actual pain. rofl. He actually did finish it, but said he was cursing me viciously at about 5am the next day. *laugh*

You should get a Thai person to try that hamburger & see if they react at all.

I did the same thing Harrison did. But the tip wasn't spicy at all so I said "wtf I expected more out of this" & took a bite twice the size. Luckily I was working in a grocery store at the time, ran straight to the bulk bin & ate 1/2 a pound of trail mix & chugged some a pint of milk.

I ate 1/3 of a Habenero the other day on a dare. It wasn't to bad until the third bite when my stomach clenched as if to say "stop eating that or I'll send it all back up". It got nasty hot about 30 seconds after that.

Maybe she didn't like you flirting with her and stuck extra jalapenos in your sandwich.

a habanero has more capsicum (spice juice) than anything in the world. They are the suck.

Habanaros are evil evil evil things. Don't eat the fucking seeds :(

The problem with them is they are stealthy fuckers, just as was stated before in an earlier post. The first bite is never as bad as expected, then about 30 seconds later the raging pain and gagging sets in.

Wtf??? What the hell are you guys thinking? Trying to eat them like that will land you in a hospital :eyecrazy:
Habaneros are delicious. Just remove the inner membrane and seeds to get rid of most of the heat. They make for the most amazing flavored jerk marinade ever.

I thought about that too unfortuneately.

We will see, I will go there again next friday to test it out!

I love habaneros, I eat them raw all the time. Then again, I seldom find things too spicy. Someone get me a Mexican Insanity Pepper like Homer Simpson ate, that may hurt me.

Well, Paul, if you ever get to San Mateo, CA, you'll h ave to try that Habanero burger.

The one friend I've had who could take stuff that hot (a female friend, actually) said it was a really tasty salsa, if you could take the heat.

Ever tried Tzhuk? First time i vent to Israel, me and my wife were at hotel in Eilat, and went town to restaraunt to get food. There was a big sallad bar and at the end was this green mix of ground vegetables. Now I thought it was something like Babaganush or Humus, so i grabbed few spoons of it into my plate, not noticing my wife laughin. I sat at the table, and took a spoon full of that stuff. I thought my teeth were melting from the heat

I've tried all kinds of mexican hot peppers but nothing was worse than that shit.

Go to an authentic Indian Restaurant in Europe or the Middle East and ask for extra spicy.

I can handle habaneros, but really spicy Indian food is just beyond insane. It makes Thai Food taste like vanilla yogurt.
