that's so bullshit to suspend stack. fine him or whatever but to suspend him in the finals where a key dude who could influence a game's outcome.. is just ridiculous.

Well, maybe people in future basketball games will avoid busting out with the World Wrestling Federation moves, then. That was a ridiculous play. I applaud them suspending him. He brought it on himself, if he didn't do it, he wouldn't have been suspended. Suspending him sends a message that doing what he did is *NOT* tolerated, which is all to the good, as that has no place in basketball. You could seriously hurt someone like that; there's a reason why the NFL banned clotheslining people.

Remember, I'm by no means a Miami fan, I don't even like Basketball all that much, and watching crap like that makes me like it less. Watching games like the 80s Lakers played = good. Watching pro wrestling matches masquerading as Basketball games = Bad.

The officials on the floor didn't think it was bad enough to eject him from the game. They were right there to see it. If the officials had decided there and then it warranted an ejection and then the league came back and suspended him that would be fine.

The league has become reticules with suspensions of late. They are incredibly inconsistent. 1 game you can tap someone and get suspended, then the next someone can hit you hard enough to require stitches and not get suspended. If they want to suspend people for actions such as that, then they need to do it across the board. If they donâ€™t want to do it across the board, they need to not do it at all.

Calls like these hurt the game more then anything else. They keep things up like this; the game will just be ruined. People will be afraid to challenge an opponents fearing they might tap him wrong and get suspended for it. What he did was by no means a light tap and he deserved the flagrant foul that he received. He just doesnâ€™t deserve to be suspended a game in the finals for it. There are many charging and blocking fouls in a game where the defender gets hit harder then Shaq got hit. I would bet Shaq has dunked over someone hitting them harder then he was hit and actually had a foul called on the defense many times this season.

Oh please Arlos, do you even remember the old Knicks Lakers games? You really are an old man if you're already breaking out the tired remember when routine, only you seem to be using that selective memory thing again. The game in the 80s was WAY more ruff than it is now. People did shit like Stack did in just about every playoff game.

The suspension was crap, but hey that's life.

The talking heads on ESPN last night were mostly blaming that gaffe on Avery Johnson, who was signaled for a TO at the wrong time, rather than just calling him over and telling him what to do.

Nellie wouldn't have made that mistake, that's for sure. We basically chalk it up to a combination mistake between a rookie coach and a 3rd year player.

It's in the past... I'm just tired of talking about everything right now. Like, I'm the source of all things mavericks lately... and I just want to watch the freaking game. I'll either celebrate after game7, or start my bitchings.

First time in four years, actually. Miami hasn't won in Dallas since 2002. Since 1999 they have only won twice here. Including these 3 losses in the finals, Dallas is now 11-4 over the past 4 years. No team has ever come back from a 2-0 defecit to win in the finals and Miami is only the second team to win the middle 3 games in the 2-3-2 split. Detroit did it 2 years ago but they still lost the last 2 games in San Antonio. Home court teams win 87% of the time in the finals. The AAC is the 3rd best home court advantage in the league (behind San Antonio and Sacramento).

Just in case you care about statistics like that. I won't say anything about it because I'm just going to wait and see.

My only prediction... If Dirk will play ONE game this series like he did against Phoenix, San Antonio and Memphis... we'll win. Dallas played 4 good games this series even with their top dog playing like a mouse. That's SORT OF comforting, if only for the fact that if he DOES explode... can Miami answer? The margins are already so slim with Wade's remarkable performances, keeping up with a dominant Dirk might be a tough task.

Still, we'll just have to wait and see.

If Dallas can come back and play game 6 like they played in game 2, they are more then capable of taking the series. Wade can only carry his team for so long, if he has a bad night, the way that miami is playing, dallas will win. Miami should have won game 5 by far more then they did. They cant shoot free throws to save their lives, they had so many chances from the line in game 5. No team should be at the line that much and miss that many.

I think tonightâ€™s game won't even be close. I think the refs know they really gave it to Miami on that bad call with 2 seconds left and you're gonna see a LOT of pro dallas calls, unless word came down from Stern to chuck Cuban on his ass for getting on his back all year.

Then I'll say it. You don't call a foul with 2 seconds left when it's a one point game IN OVER TIME, when the guy barely get's touched.

I didn't think it was a foul. I've seen pictures that show Dirk's hand resting on Wades back and Harris swiping and Wades arm. If you watch the video you see absolutely no evidence of wades reaction to either.

If he WAS fouled it was so light. You don't make that call with the game on the line in over-time. Bottom line.

Maybe I'll go get the picks for fun...
