Need an outsider's advice

Ok, to give you a little background. I have known my boyfriend since we were kids. We hung out a bit in high school, and later couldn't stand each other, and used to make fun of each other and be very mean to each other. ANyway, back when we WERE hanging out, his sister and my sister were friends, and her sisters boyfriend (now husband) and I and my boyfriend would go out and get drunk on Kentucky Deluxe and play mailbox baseball.

Chris was always trouble, and he ended up getting his girlfriend pregnant, and they got married. My boyfriend's mom took custody of their first born becuase they were living in a tent. THis is about when I left town.

Fast Forward 15 years, and this is where we are today. Chris just got out of prison for molesting his underage cousin. Chris and Chrissy are still togehter and she is very in love with him, to where she never visits her family 30 minutes away because her husband can't come because he is on an ankle bracelet. They had another daughter and they both live with their grandparents. THey are awesome girls.

Because of the nature of his Crime, he isn't allowed to see the girls AT ALL. At first I was like, They are his girls, WTF!?!?! Come to find out, Chrissy has been sneaking her girls down to see their Dad, and he has in fact taken every opportunity to molest them, or try to. So when the 16 year old got home from visiting her mom last weekend, she told her grandmother everything that happened, in detail, and it was all very disturbing. We were all in tears. Chrissy refuses to believe her daughter, and is taking her husband's side.

Now my boyfriend wants to go to Chris's house and beat the shit out of him or worse. His parents think that this is a great thing to stand up for family, and on the one hand I can understand. But on the other hand, we are having a baby in Feburary, we are getting married next summer, and I don't want to raise Another baby on my own while he sits in prison for assault or even murder.

Am I being selfish, or should I put my foot down, and if I do, how do I do that without alienating his entire family who are GREAT people (except for his sister and brother in law)

The Arcadia burned down today. My dad says his youth is completely gone now. Poor man.

THey did turn him in, and that is my point exactly, let the law handle it. His sister is calling his mother and giving her all kinds of shit about it because she is sending her husband back to prison. She downsn't even believe her own daughter. Its sad really. Anyway, I said "Let the law handle it" and he has to believe in some sort of vigilante justice.

Don't let him do it. The small amount of satisfaction they will get out of it isn't worth the chance of spending time in jail. He needs to rethink his priorities.

Don't let him do it. Best case, there is a likelyhood he could go to jail or prison for awhile for assault. Worst case, he could get killed, or he could end up killing the guy and be in prison for 20-30 years.

Even prison inmates loathe child molesters... molesting guy will get plenty of beatings in there. He'll probably get molested himself. oO

One day of revenge isn't worth a life of the consequences for it - let the police handle it.

If he truly wants to get revenge on the asshole, have him take the 16 year old to the police and be there to provide support while she testifies.

Tell him not to go, ask him if he thinks it's worth it. To take a risk on everything he has now. If he still insist on going, tell him he is upsetting you and that if thats the case you are going with him. I doubt he would want to risk ur health/baby in a situation like this.

You are not at wrong here to stop him, it will effect you in future if anything happens to him.

In all fairness, I've heard she's pretty strong Vonk, and 6'3" so that might depend on the other guy's size.

Honestly though, while a beating would be worth it(it will make your man feel better for the moment) the other guy will get worse in prison especially since he's violated the terms of his release, and your boyfriend won't suffer for any of it. The wife will probably go down with him since she assisted him in doing so, so she's probably looking at probation or jail time herself. If anyone's going to be there for anyone or do anything for or to anyone it should be to help those girls who didn't deserve any of that bullshit to begin with. He needs to think about your future together, your child and those girls who will need support, something they aren't getting from their own mother. Good luck to you both.

Don't let him do it. He's got his own family to worry about, now. His nieces need him out of jail, too. How's the 16 year old gonna feel knowing her reporting that slime caused her uncle to do something that puts him in jail?

Although, if it wasn't for the baby I'd say let him go for it. Sorry, Kizzy. I know I'd have a hard time stopping Kahar in similar circumstances. He once went to Kansas and beat the living shit out of his sister's ex-husband because he beat her.
