Can someone break down the state of tradeskills?

Gnome, I think, though I'm not an expert.

You get to make Battle Chickens, you get the mind control cap, and you get the death ray. Death ray is ranged, but can hit for > 1k, especially if it crits.

Goblins get a land mine (which takes a while to activate once you place it), boots that duplicate Sprint, but can blow up, and a couple other things.

From just about everything I've heard in general, gnomish is the way to go. However, I have never had a L60 with engineering, so take what I say on the subject with a grain of salt, and do some research with people who've played with both.

You can get swift boots made from tailors that are > both gnomish rocket and goblin boots.

Swift boots saved my ass one or two times running passed the horde guilds waiting outside mc.

Shit but whats the consensus here on engineering goblin or gnome? I'm more concerned with PVP... So what the best engineering for that?

The items that are bop from gnomish and goblin are:

Goblin Bomb Dispenser
Gnomish Battlechicken

Goblin Dragongun
Gnomish Deathray

The battlechicken > bomb dispenser. Bomb hits for 300-500 which is weak compared to other bombs. The battlechicken gives a group haste. The only haste I know of in wow and the chicken levels with you getting more powerful.

The gnomish deathray > dragongun. I have had 1.5k crits on a death ray. The goblin gun hits for 70dmg directional aoe.

All the other stuff that is gnomish goblin can be used by both.


Edit: there are also some usless caps for goblins that increase mining by 5% and one that nukes but its shared on the same timer as a lot of other stuff so its usless also.
