Your "reason" for the war is likewise laughable. Oppression and aggression doesn't stop terrorists from targeting you, that's so far wrong it's insane. Israel is consistently "tough" vs terroists, they even blow up innocent women and children trying to get at militants. By your logic, that must mean there are no terrorist strikes vs Israel, ever. Funny, I think I may have seen differently in the news...

First off I said this war was the same IDEA as the other two wars. I never said it was having the same impact on lives. You both need to pull your heads out of each other's asses long enough to see someone else's views. As for a Rahrah speech, how do you know any different? Maybe the smoke being blown up your asses by the media is just that.

I also said it is a 100 year plan only 30 years in. Do you think that terrorists don't plan for contingencies? Of coarse there are going to be people that fight against them I'm sure they took that into account. Going into Iraq for a couple years isn't even a minor setback for them. They planned on waging war for 100 frigging years. What is a couple of years to them?

The problem with today's society is they expect a quick solution to a persisting problem. There won't be a quick solution to this one. The sooner you realize that, the better off you'll be.

Who ever said I expected a quick solution to the problem? Who's assuming stuff and making shit up now?

You claimed in your previous post that "getting tough" with terrorists would stop attacks. I pointed out that that is a farcical notion, as Israel, which by any measure is certainly "tough" with terrorists is being bombed and attacked at a far higher rate than any other nation on earth. Kinda negates your entire point, yes?

And no, World War 2 isn't even remotely the same IDEA as the "war on terrorism". It's not prosecuted in anything remotely the same way, and has very different motivations and basis. Not to mention, World War 2 was a war between NATIONS, not a war against groups of individuals.

I also don't buy any such "Secret 100 year Islamic Jihaadist Conspiracy." Someone has been taking the Illuminatus trilogy WAY too seriously. Do you have ONE shred of proof for its existence? One verified document, one supported set of testimonies? I somehow doubt it, in which case I classify it in the same conspiracy nut bin as the people wearing tinfoil hats. Translation: It's a complete fabrication and utter bullshit.

Do please understand, I'm in no way against fighting against actual terrorism. I was COMPLETELY behind our attacking and obliterating Afghanistan, as they supported the people who, you know, ACTUALLY ATTACKED US. Of course, typical for this administration, they bungled the fuck out of it, and let not only Osama get away, but the entire senior leadership of the Taliban. Real smooth move there, eh?
