Ugh I dont want any of the 3 to win. Italy and their bs last second penalty kick against Australia (They would have won in OT anyway but have no repect for them winning the way they did). Portugal beat Englan, cant possible want them to win. And well the French, well they are French, enough said.

I guess Italy would be the lesser of the 3 evils, my grandmother would hae been happy atleast so GO ITALY!!

Also think I should bring up that the only team who has played and not lost to Italy in this World Cup is the US :)

Wouldn't really call it much of a game. Portugal really didn't compete, the time of posetion was really misleading.

Portugal did have a lot chances that they didn't cash in.

That was a pretty good game. I'd say though that it was really 2-1 because one of the goals Germany *got* was because of a Portugie accidentally kicking the ball into their own net. That was funnier than hell. Germany played some great soccer in this game. The header that Portugal got was an awesome shot. There was nothing the goalie could have done to stop that power shot.

Portugal, though, was fouling the hell out of Germany too... pussies. I saw a shitload of: "Oh, I'm not good enough to get the ball from the German, so I'll just KICK HIM or SHOVE HIM instead." Asstards. I'm glad they lost. What did they get... like 3 or 4 yellow cards? Germany only got one, and you could totally tell the tackle was accidental. ALL the yellow cards Portugal got were from poor sportsmanship. That Japanese ref was awesome... he didn't miss anything.

Not that I really care about the outcome of the final match tomorrow, but I'd say that Italy will probably take it.

Was glad to see Germany spank Portugal. I love to watch Jurgen Klinsmann's style of coaching. Now to see where he goes from here.... :dunno:

Hopefully to the US team. heh. I think it's about 80% likely he'll stay the German coach, though.

The German Soccer league voted 85% to keep Klinsmann on for the next World Cup. 100% of the players also supported Klinsmann on as head coach/trainer for the future. It would be nice if he could help the Americans too somehow.

Klinsmann has said he's going to take a few weeks to decide what he wants to do. I am sure that during that interval he's going to get at least a call or two from the US Soccer federation asking him about working for the US. (or, at least, they'll make that call to him if they have 2 shits worth of sense)

The German votes to retain Klinsmann are kinda comedic, you know, given that for basically most of his tenure as coach, he caught all kinds of crap in the press and from other quarters for how he was managing the team. Lots of people were calling for him to get fired in the leadup to the World Cup, he was called all sorts of names, etc. Suddenly, he takes the team to a 3rd place finish, and all of his detractors have had to eat massive amounts of crow. rofl.

On ESPN, there's a poll on who you think will win the final match of Italy vs. France. As of 5 minutes ago, out of 185,000+ voters, 65% think Italy will win and 35% voted for France. You can vote on the poll here:

http://espn.go.com/

I guess I do hope Italy will win because France is the suck.

Grats to Italy! What a game! I can't believe that effing Zidane... WHAT A FRIGGIN LOSER. He head-butted an Italian player in the chest and knocked him down. Good thing he got a red card and got thrown out for that bullshit. He's gonna be lucky if some Italians don't jump him some time in the future and beat the ever loving dogshit outta him. That was the poorest act of bad sportsmanship I've ever seen. Then he ripped off his team captain armband, threw it down, and walked out of the stadium like a big pussy.

France really played a better game, though IMO the game should have been over after 90mins 2-1 Italy. He was not offsides on that 2nd goal. Some times it sucks to see a game like this come down to PK's but I dont think either team could have gone much longer, they were just dead.

For once I agree whole heartedly, 100 percent, completely with you. And as mentioned Italy WAS NOT offsides earlier when there score was wiped.
