i even went on youtube looking for q-strange just to be fair and listen to it like you said but all i can find is some song with him and someone called the Boston Strangla and the video is like

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvV7u-vKL28

tbqh (q-strange is the guy on verse 2 i assume) it's ok but it just takes Rakim's style to a new level of monotony and lameness. it just sounds like blahblalbalbalbalbla*rhyme* blalbalbalbalblalba*rhyme* ... like "if i rhyme really fast people will like it"... at least when Rakim went fast on those cuts with Eric B., he did it with some grace and delivered it like a professional

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z6_hOZMzVA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz6P38XfQVA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuQV7QB9dw0

those two guys are the hip hop kings imo... Rakim invented that monotone sounding flow that's based on the sound of a saxaphone in a jazz combo... any real hip hop appreciator remembers Eric B. & Rakim. i think rage against the machine covered Microphone Fiend on their covers album

i like hip hop with complicated lyricals with a lot of internal rhyming and verses about real issues and real things that most people can relate to, not just a bunch of swearing and trying to be a badass

The king of rap imo is Del tha Funkee Homosapien from Hieroglyphics. Most people know him as the first verse guy from the Gorillaz Song "Clint Eastwood".

Finally, someone let me outta my cage...

deltron 3030 is a pretty good album, it's my friend's #1 of all time. he likes all those MCs that are humorous like Kool Keith and Del etc

Del still doesn't light a candle to his cousin that got him famous in the first place tho

yeah i like him but i wish he wouldn't have collaboed with Eminem... Eminem is godawful. he might have a lot of talent but he really doesn't put it to good use. he's too nasty

that One Love video i posted is like a letter to Nas' friend in prison about what's been going on in their town and how this girl gets shot by a kid. it's good for 1994 and he was only 20 when he did it. and Q-Tip did the production... badass DJ. i guess he's not in the smithsonian for nothing

Like I said, the Q shit you find online is old and very rough. He is most definetly on MIR records, unless in the past week he decided to move somewhere else. I'm not gonna defend what I like to others though because fuck, taste is subjective.

It's ok Adivina, I understand. I mean, ICP is original and full of flavor, no questions there. Fuck what others say! Yarr!

Yes Jazendar I see you totally listened to what I was talking about, you have me so pinned.

Before you try to flame me find out what the subject of my message was, it works a lot better. I've spoken nothing of ICP since my first post or so where I said, hell they are immature and goofy, but nothing else I listen to is remotely like them. Come on man, try a little harder.

Man, I'm kinda jealous of ICP. When I sweat, my makeup tends to come off. They were all sweaty and getting sprayed by coke and they still looked absolutely FAB :gaymeter:

Gravediggaz > ICP.

I will say The Great Milenko was one of the funniest albums I ever heard, but as far as horror hip hop, Gravediggaz blow them away. Check out: 1-800-Suicide & Diary of a Madman.

Yeah it's almost 2 different genre's. Cube is definately gangsta while Del is centered more around humor and the occasional political message. Del flows better though imo.

cube has a better career. he was in NWA and wrote rhymes for a shitload of people. i don't really like him a lot but i've got respect for him and think he's made a more lasting impression in hip hop history anyway

I have a doors tattoo on my leg. I'm not a loser. (No comments from you Jay)

It really wasnt intended to poke fun at you, you are one of my favorite posters here.

I don't like ICP. I don't care for that style of music.

Horror hip-hop is horrorcore, ICP is not Horrorcore honestly in the true meaning of it, they take a very light approach to it. I know who Gravediggaz are but people like Q-Strange, Mars, Marz, and a slew of others blow them away in terms of "true" horrorcore. Jamie Madrox of Twiztid has some sick shit under the name Mr. Bones as well, Why the Children is one that immediately pops to mind. Q-Strange is by far the fucking widely agreed upon master of underground horrorcore though, downloading Creation to ExeQution and listening to it will either fascinate you or fucking make you sick, perhaps a bit of both even.

I finally clicked the links that you posted, good job trying to talk shit about a video they did not even make. I know you were doing your little eye rolling stuff about the Bush shit in the video for Terrible, thats a video someone made to the song, nothing put out by the artist, or record label. Also, the song does have a decent enough point to it, we are too focused on mass media shit instead of what really matters right in front of us (ie, protesting Ozzy instead of focusing attention on helping the homeless kids down the street.)
