NHSTA Potential Affected Units: 205,000

Model Affected: Nissan Murano

Problem: On certain SUVs, due to the location of the forward edge of the fuel tank, in the event that a vehicle front tire runs over a small, sharp object in the road, catches it, and propels it toward the rear of the vehicle, it may strike and puncture the fuel tank.

Uh, yikes.

They installed two "shields" when I brought it in for an oil change that protect the tank. 10 minute job.
