Nothin to do but clench your teeth and ride it out man. Youre stronger than the addiction if you want to be. State of mind. Putting that cig in your mouth isnt the way. If you are serious about quitting anyway.

It wants you to think you need it. But its lying to you.

Doesnt matter. Driving your car, playing EQ, smoking herb, all mere details. If you quit, you quit, you need to fight every battle and win the war. Cant lose. Not an option. Its just a drug, it isnt air, food, or water. Fuck it.

I enjoyed smoking too. In 4 months it'll be 3 years since I quit, cold-turkey. Now when I smell cigarette smoke it actually bothers me. What's even worse is trying to talk to someone with smoker's breath... it's totally disgusting.

in four months it'll be one year since cold turkey for me

if i'm walking around outside and pass by someone with a lit cigarette i don't mind the smell TBQH-- i liked the smell before i ever smoked as well

but

if i'm indoors and someone comes in after just smoking a cig and the smell is all over them, THEN it's disgusting

SPAZZ: EVERY DAY FROM HERE ON OUT YOU WILL FIND IT EASIER TO NOT SMOKE. just remember that, and repeat it to yourself when it gets bad. it takes only 3-4 days to break yourself of the physical addiction, the rest is all mental. you can do it man, pretend it's a fight for your life (because it is!)

That all depends on how long you want to live in your parents' basement.

actually, if you start exercising you should be able to quit cigarettes a little easier, and you can do some form of exercise that doesn't increase the heart rate as much running would-and smoking a little herb before you do it helps to stretch your muscles and get oxygen to those areas.

you could smoke more pot and use your lower lobes more if you weren't damaging them with the cigarette smoke-but if you smoke pot and use it to your advantage in aiding with quitting cigarettes-throw an exercise ball in there and/or start walking. but you need to be active.

That's great, Brin. I'm happy for you. You're past the worst part already. On a side note, I will actually gag if I smell a clove cig burning.

thanks, and grats on your almost 3 years!

...i have to admit, it was not hard for me in the least. i just stopped smoking-- no fits, no shakes, no angst, nothing. i read somewhere that 10% of the population are immune to nicotine addiction, and that's the only possible explanation in my case. i know it's not fair, but c'est la vie!

oh, and another cool thing about quitting: it's like getting a raise

I hate being kicked on my hipbone. I hate that I am waddling because my groin hurts so much. I hate that I am hot all the time. I hate what it makes me look like, which would probably not be so bad if I heard something possitive from Gid once in awhile. (not that he calls me fat, he just says nothing...which is probably also very wise)

Smart move, Gid!

I keep coming back & reading this thread, trying to convince myself that the two packs of smokes left in my carton is my last carton of smokes. quitting is fucking hard ><

I like smoking... I've quit plenty of times and done it pretty easily, but after this last really long stretch I still find myself wanting to smoke when I party.

I don't think I'll ever get over that.
Tossica: No, you're gay because you suck on cocks.

Darcler:
Get rid of the pictures of the goofy looking white guy. That opens two right there.

Mazzletoffarado: That's me fucktard

the 'quitting' part I found surprisingly easy. it was the 'it's a week later & I still want to smoke rilly rilly badly' part that keeps getting me. to the people that quit:

An old friend in the sense that you had a habitual problem with sucking on their butt.
