is god damn highway robbery.

But I think Im caving this year. Anyone else use it? $400 for the games in High Def. ugh.

I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it. I admit it would be nice to have but just not worth that much to me.

It really pisses me off that you can't get NFL Sunday Ticket for Cable. My Bro in Law has it and is down the road, so we just hit his house on Sundays.

Definitely highway robbery.

It would be nice to have - but because I have cable, it's not going to happen. Even so, 400 is way to much.

Its $280 without the HD option. More reasonable, but shit, $280 with HD still sounds like too damn much to me. Much less $400.

DirecTV people are probably giving the NFL bigwigs stock and other things.

I imagine if they did this on cable, and cut the cost in half, they'd have 50 times the subscription rate, but this smells like a locked in contract.

For 17 weeks of football, that's not bad. It's less than 20 bucks a week.

Yeah Direct Ticket is great until you can't watch local games any more. Fuck Direct TV right in the mouth. We got some guys together one year and got it, and every home Packer game was blacked out. Nice.

Yeah the blackout rule thing is lame. But this year, the Saint have sold more season tickets than, maybe ever. Every home game should be a sellout so no blackout concerns.

I'm so glad I live in the area of my favorite NFL team. I can honestly say one of the reasons I won't move is because I can watch my team every Sunday for free.

I was in New Orleans for 23 of my 32 years (moved there at two, spent 5 years in north la in college, moved to slc 2 years ago). I never thought Id leave NO, but plans change

I'm in college station so every week on the AFC channel you get the Texans vs whoever, and on the NFC channel you get the Cowboys. So it's a luxury to pay 280 instead of having to watch those 2 teams play.

I can't imagine why they haven't moved the Ticket to cable though. It would be hard to believe that DirectTV is ponying up a comparible number to the amount of cash they'd be swallowing up if they moved across platforms.

Yup. I'm still trying to figure out how a San Diego kid is in Ohio. I can still follow the Chargers though.

I'm sure it's all an issue of contracting.

EA Sports sued for and won sole rights to use NFL material and players names in their games... which basically means we'll not see another ESPN NFL version for a very long time. Same concept I suppose.

Speaking of EA Sports - Madden football sucks ass.
