I have never been so unimpressed by any game ever. Looks awful and the character models blow ass, the combat look as crappy if not crappier than anything currently out now.
What the hell are they thinking over there at Sigil?
Tossica: No, you're gay because you suck on cocks.
Darcler:
Get rid of the pictures of the goofy looking white guy. That opens two right there.
Mazzletoffarado: That's me fucktard

Good lord...why on earth put out such a crappy vid?

Im just wondering what SOE is thinking. EQ2 and Vangaurd are like, the same damn game.
Bankrolling three of essentially the same game MMO in a limited market seems a bad business idea to me.
The only reasoning I can see behind it is they're pushing their All Access pass. Although, given none of their games, sans Planetside, are casual friendly the All Access pass is somewhat a bad marketing tool.

Watched it. Some of the models and animations look pretty awful, like that flying dragon thing, some were OK. Some of the static pieces were pretty nice too, but again, nothing amazing.
The problem is, it still just looks relatively soulless for the most part. There's no cohesive art direction, etc. Having a ton of polygons in a model doesn't mean it automatically looks amazing.
Movement was stiff, there really wasn't much fluidity at all.

there is always star wars... what upgrade are they on now? Combat enhancement 12.0 or some shit
I keep hoping for a rollback.....
I was reading Smeds blog and came across this. I think it says a LOT about the SWG situation.
With the exception of the DC Comics game we’re working on, each of these games is an original IP. Our teams in San Diego, Austin, Seattle and Taiwan are excited about working on game worlds that we’re developing ourselves. It’s often frustrating to work with third party IP. There’s a constant battle over what the right direction is for the game, and from our own recent experience, it’s not something we enjoy. It very often puts handcuffs on what we can and can’t do and, frankly speaking, it’s a lot harder to make great games when the IP holders don’t understand the online gaming market.
My guess is what we're seeing is directly from Lucasarts, and not SOE.
