Is deployed anything like deflowered?
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

I sure am glad I got out of the military when I did. I don't want to risk my ass for the empirical ambition of our government. I would be more willing, however, if we were fighting to actually defend this country's people, rights, and way of life. Spazz has a point.

Just a little bit of trivial knowledge for you, deployment doesnt automatically equal heading to Iraq. In fact a smallish % go there for their deployment. Unaccompanied deployments are all over the world, many for peace keeping missions.
Way to focus on ONE thing.

my old roommates's brother is 28 and in the Air National Guard, mainly was to pay for college. Then in March they decided to tell him he's going to Saudi Arabia in May for a month and a half or so. He shipped out May 10, and his first son was born May 14 =( Pretty shitty timing for him.

I would have been sent to Kuwait, and then who knows where else. That doesn't change my opinion though, because I'd still be putting my life on the line, and for what? Whether it's a peacekeeping mission or something more serious, the fact is that most of the world's population hates Americans, and rightfully so. I find it logical to avoid confrontations with people who hate me, or at least work towards some form of positive change, but hey, that's just me. It seems like a lot of Americans would rather attempt to show off or prove superiority to, and fight for power over, those who hate us.

My friend John just got back from two back to back tours in Iraq. It was great seeing him. He told me that the only thing they use their women for is to make babies, and they use other men for sexual gratification. That's just sick. I've known John since we were kids. He's always been the older brother type. But when he told me he is thinking about going back over for another tour, I almost cried. He has 18 years in, and doesn't want to retire now, why when he is only 2 years from being able to retire. It was good seeing him. He looked so hot in his uniform. Yummy!!

Last I checked the Cub Scouts weren't considered military service.
