No, the ranking system was introduced before battlegrounds. I remember the first day that honor came out, everyone was still killing each other in Hillsbrad, and the first day battlegrounds came out everyone was in AV. Seperate places in time :asshole:

Yeah, I was raping people outdoors for PVP before BGs.

I quit before BGs.

I saw BGs from Aryylas and would find them fun for a week tops. Then it would be a slightly different grind day in and day out.

The game overall just has no long haul fun.

The PVP ranking system is such a royal pain. When I was working on getting to rank 11 taking 1 day off a week screwed me. I was spending 6 hours a day there and by rank 9 I was almost at a standstill if I missed 1 day.

Ive been paused on 19, just doing WSG and helping a couple of other people level i.e. no xp. WSG is fun, but I had to put in quite a bit of time just to make rank 1. I cant imagine the time it would take to hit like Rank 10. It would be sweet though.

Also occasionally playing my semi-twink warrior on Bronzebeard. Got him to 32 today. Pull out the 60 a few hours a week to help a couple of friends in their 40s quest and whatnot.

LOL are you complaining about not getting rank 10? You dont push for rank 10 you accidently hit it from casually pvping. Do you pug every match you play?

Susvain, it actually takes a considerable amount of effort to hit rank 10 unless you play on a server with about 5 people on it. "Casual PvP" to me means "PvPing for a couple hours after MC/BWL/AQ/Whatever" and I only got to rank 8 off of mostly "Casual PvP" and a couple days a week of actually trying for honor.

No, rank 10 is not hard to get even with alot of people on your server. PvPing a couple hours a day can easily get you it. I've hit rank 10 like 3 times just going for an hourish even less a day pvping with my guild. There is also 3 pvp guilds on my server on horde side with me who pvp all day.

I havent gone under rank 8 in over a yearish I think. Getting from about 30-1000th standing. The system use to be very hard until around when Arathi Basin came out they made it super easy.

I dont know what your servers pvp is like.. ive been pvping 8 hours a day for a little over a month and a ive only lost 10-30 matches all with PuGs (alliance sucks that bad)

I have been at least standing 25 each week with my best being 8. I cant get any higher than that due to the rank 12+ guys getting 700k honor a week.

Anyways, tell me what server you play on so i can get rank 14 in a month since you can get rank 10 with an hour a day of playing :hiphop:

Yeah, seriously.

I however doubt Susvain's legitimacy in regards of time spent playing and how easy it is to get rank 10. Maybe he's referring to how easy it is to KEEP rank 10. *shrug*
