yeah way better, he also in a diff weight class

in chucks weight class the only other fighters that i think are better are wanderlei silva and mauricio shogun rua

i saw rampage quinton jackson beat Liddell, but Wanderlei Silva rocked the shit out of rampage, twice i think. UFC is on more often because of their deal with Spike. but they show Pride on the fox sports channel. i'll watch whichever's on, since it beats the hell out of Boxing.

that Fedor looks like a tough mother fucker though, what weight class is he? i definitely like Silva, he earned the nickname "The Axe Murderer".

fedor is a heavy weight

and chuck is old news, only reason he looks so good is that UFC can't afford to pay fighters as much as Pride does, so pride gets the big timers (MMA in japan is like football here, Pride is huge there)

dana white (the pres. of UFC) bet the pres. of pride $250,000 that chuck would beat wanderlei, so chuck goes to a pride tournament, barely beats the first guy, then gets kablowned by quinton jackson, who even though is pretty good, is nowhere near wanderlei.

I don't watch many UFC/Pride Fighting matches anymore, but I've seen a few of Fedor's fights. That man is a beast. I honestly get scared for his opponent when I see him fight.

Yes... Sylvia is a girl... relatively speaking anyway... I mean, he'd "kind of" destroy me... :-x

Arlovski is a much better fighter and would totally win if he had a better jaw. His 3 losses have all come from SERIOUSLY heavy handed fighters who got lucky hits in. He has completely dominated the weight class otherwise.

But... yeah... it's the weakest weight class right now.

And Liddell is 'not' the strongest of the current class champions. Hughes totally has that distinction. He'll likely have to retire soon just to make the sport more interesting. I'd say that Rich Franklin is the next best thing, he's almost as well balanced as Hughes but he has better competition in his weight-class. Still, it's a pretty clear-cut #1 for the middleweights.

Liddell just isn't all that impressive to me. He hits hard... and he sucks off his feet. Bleh. I see at least 5 guys in pride who would make an excellent opponent for him, they just need to come over and take him. I honestly think that Rich Franklin could possibly bulk up and take Chuck.

hard to say, i've never really seen him fight outside of the movies

if he trained grappling extensively/takedowns/takedown defense then he could probably do good, i mean he said he did train for functional fighting so obviously he should have included those things

intuition says yes, in his own weight range

this guy is a badass, my 2nd fav. fighter behind fedor. he's only 23 and is currently the best (imo) light heavyweight in the world (big statement but i do think he is better than wanderlei silva, but he just won't fight him because they're team members and he has too much respect for him). he just came off a loss to mark coleman from a freak accident where he fell weird and broke his arm, if he recovers well i expect him to rival fedor in the next 2 years.

A brutal mother fucker, currently the pride light heavy champ. He's super entertaining to watch, and his intensity is crazy. He has some problems with being too reckless sometimes, but when he's on, he's dangerous as all hell. His next fight is going to be in the quarter finals of the pride open weight tournament against mirko cro-cop, an unreal striker. He has a fair chance to take the tournament as a light heavyweight, the rest of the people left are all heavyweights. (Fedor isn't in the tournament, if he was it would be a pointless competition)

Former kickboxing champ from K-1. His offensive ground game is pretty much non-existent, but he makes up for it with having unreal takedown defense and pretty good ground defense and counters. His left high kick is a thing of beauty. Right now I feel he's tied for 2nd best heavyweight in the world with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (who I won't post a HL of because even though he's damn good he's a submission fighter and some of his matches can be pretty boring). Gave Fedor a pretty good fight but of course he got kablowned.

The best fighter of all time. 23-1-1, his only loss coming from a big cut from an accidental illegal elbow in 17 seconds of the first round, he later went on to brutalize the guy (he's the asian guy getting pummeled near the end of the clip). He basically redesigned how the ground game works, outgrapples the best grapplers, outstrikes the best strikers, outwrestles the best wrestlers. He looks completely unassuming, 6'0 tall, 230 pounds and slightly chubby, and outside of the ring he's the quietest, nicest, humblest, most respectful guy you'll ever see. I'd go gay for him. Plus he draws silly pictures as a hobby when he's not fighting:

A true athlete, he represents what's good about MMA. Can't say enough about him.

I don't see much Pride, I got sucked into watching a Bob Sapp fight just because I don't think I've ever seen a bull of a guy like that, but he wasn't so impressive.

I agree with Vonkaar on Arlovski. I wish Silvia would either shave those clown shoes or just not wake up one morning. He's just a goofy looking bastard and I can't stand having to watch him.

middle weight is either hughes or franklin, i'm ont sure
(hughes is 170 i think, franklin 185)
