Anyone ever had a run in with these guys? Are they reputable, etc? Thanks.

P.S. I really don't care if they discriminate against the SDA church.

They have a "no haggle" pricing policy for their overpriced cars, and morons think they're getting a good deal when they buy from them.

See, that's what I thought too. $7K for a 1996 Saturn SL1?

Overpriced is the exact word I was looking for, thanx Mindia.

You can always check used car prices on kbb.com.

cars.com > carmax

Or better, get a good mechanic and do the buying and selling yourself. Dealers are overpriced. Megadealers even moreso.

Yeah before I ever buy a used vehicle I get one of the shop mechinacs that used to work in auto service to look it over. I would never buy a used vehicle of any kind without having it checked first. thats just me at least...I dont trust car dealerships too much.

I went to the Carmax dealership in Roseville, CA a couple years ago. EVERY single one of their cars was WAY overpriced. They had tags on the windshield saying stuff like "$178 below retail!" LMAO. I can't believe people actually buy from them.

Did you find the car you liked and then looked it up on KBB.com first?

Actually, in all fairness to Carmax, I just priced out an '04 Honda Accord, and their price was only about a hundred bucks over KBB's private party price. That's not too bad, although they still add a $50 smog test fee, and a $45 processing fee. Maybe they're getting better with their pricing lately.

I did, but I was still making my payments in a timely manner when I moved. Then I moved to a house and didn't give them my fowarding number or address, so they hired a company to look it up who used public records and through my new job got my home number and address.

There's a ASS for every seat and trying to make profit regardless of the amount of markup is perfectly fine. The problem is not everyone can negoitate worth a crap and end up paying to much for the car.

If you think dealerships ask to much for a car then try and negotiate and if that fails then leave. The funniest thing is cars are not the highest marked up product you buy. The furniture or jewerly manufactures have the highest markup of all and yet people pay full price.

I am a sales manager for a GM dealership and I see it everyday. I have done deals where we make 10k in profit and it never fails, people say we made to much money but in my opinion if you don't ask for then you will never know if someone will pay.

Long story short, Im hiding it from the repo company as we speak.

The longer you put off paying your payment to catch up the better of a chance the repo man gets you. Then your chances of getting another loan is shot for a couple of years unless your fine with 25% interest.

Also, any place you go will see that your car is in active repo and you won't get a loan.

Check it. Go to honey and tell him you're in a crisis and need to borrow x dollars for like 3 days. After making the car payment, tell him you're even for the cigs and gas.

My day keeps getting better. THe sheriff's department came today to arrest me on a warrant. I asked what for and they told me a seatbelt ticket I got back in April. I showed them a receipt from the first payment I made on the ticket, and advised them that I sent the other payment with the Ex Honey to pay one day when I was at work, and I also gave him the money to pay off his tickets. He never made it to the courthouse to pay them and only made it as far as the bar. (Well, thats what he told me when I called to yell at him)They gave me a grace period until Friday when I get paid. FUCK, when are things going to start going my way.

I didn't know police could decide on their own to not serve a warrant? I've always been under the impression they execute it regardless of what the individual says...

Not saying you're making it up, but it's strange they gave you a grace period - didn't think they had that authority - to over rule a judge.

Maybe she failed to mention giving the arresting officer a blowjob or 3 as a bribe to persuade him to wait? He'd have to have been pretty fucking desperate, of course, but there's lots of desperate guys out there...
