Saddam Hussein Saw al-Qaida As Threat

On Friday the Senate released a report that Saddam Hussein regarded al-Qaida as a threat rather than a possible ally, contradicting assertions Bush has used to build support for the war in Iraq.

It discloses an October 2005 CIA assessment that before the war,

Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates.

I think it's pretty much been established that Bush-Co had their hearts set on invading Iraq from the start, even before 9/11, and that they manipulated intelligence around that event to stir up support for it.
