Bledsoe played terribly. Also, their D didn't pressure Fat Albert enough.

It's a game they should've won, but Jax is a good team, and it's tough to beat 12-4 AFC teams on the road.

Fortunately, that's the best team Dallas has to play for the first half of the season.

My eternal wish for the Cowpatties is for them to go 7-9. Bad enough to have a losing record and no chance for the playoffs, but not so bad that they'll get a really good draft pick. Perpetual sub-mediocrity and existential despair. Perfect.

I'd prefer an 0-16 Cowboys. Just to watch the look on Jerry Jones face.

Draft choices are overrated. Occasionally you get a Carson Palmer. However, it's more likely one will get a Ryan Leaf, Kijana Carter, or Heath Shuler.

I can understand the impulse. But given that the last time they had a 1st overall, they got Troy Aikman, I'm not willing to risk it. Even if Jones is nowhere near the talent evaluator that Jimmy Johnson was. Still too big of a risk.

Besides, if they're so bad as to be 0-16, people can tune 'em out. They end up 7-9, there's always the feeling, right up unto the last couple weeks of the season that "hey, maybe they can pull it out and make the playoffs", only to be crushed by reality at the end. Depths of despair are always worse if there was the faint whisper of hope to precede it.

0-8 makes and the Dallas Papers cruficy Jones, Parcells, and others who are in dire need of much bad press. 7-9 gives hope and can be attributed to bad luck. Gimme the real pain!

Won't happen. Dallas will compete this year. They're coaching and D and TO makes it so.

I don't like Owens, but the guy really is a stud, and in his own world WR wise. Its a shame his tude has prevented him from reaching his potential.

I actually don't think he's that fantastic

he still drops a lot of catchable passes
Don't get me wrong, he makes a lot of amazing plays that other guys just physically can't do, but I wouldn't put him in the same category as some of the true greats
