Emperor was mildly entertaining.
All of VT was fucking ZZZ
The cursed cycle was cool.
High priest was ok.
VT keys sucked cock.
Luclin sucked.

2 different perspectives Harri. Your perspective is after PoP was released. Tikker is talking about it from what it was cutting edge content.

I really enjoyed RZ (when it worked). I wish I hadn't lost the screenshot but I remember snare kiting like 30 pit mobs while the guild was pwning RZ.

Any updates from anyone still playing on these? Fun to hear how the old game is treating folks.

Check out the message boards.
They are opening a new expansion essentially every 30 days, it looks like. Not how I'd have designed it, but SOE seems to make it a rush to unlock content.
All the Velious mobs have been taken down for Luclin, sans unlocking the Sleeper, so at the end of this month, Luclin will be out.
While this would've been fun, I don't have the time to put into EQ to keep up.

Yup

Lol, I see FoH already packed it in...didn't even make it to GoD this time.
Wonder how things are doing over on the Sleeper prog server. Darn Naythyn had to go get a GF or something and quit on us.

Sleeper is at the same point progression-wise, though they were a week behind on all the Velious kills b/c they took a while to get the first SK epic.

SK epic was one of the few "epic" quests that actually felt epic, specially that final fight
ps, coolest looking epic of all time

I have to agree the SK epic was by far the best.

the storyline for the rogue epic was awesome
I never understood why they had the chick in steamfont drop that dagger tho
completely eliminated the need to camp all the other swords
meh, whatever

They really shouldn't have had the dagger drop from her. Everyone should have done the damn quest to get it. Its not like it would have made the quest much more difficult.

I loved the rogue epic quest. That probably was the most fun and roleplaying experience I had in EQ, plus when I did it there were no spoilers and figuring things out was half the fun. Even the General fight in the end was a blast.
The problem with EQ is they needed more epic quests with great storylines with rewards that were on par with the effort.
It's a shame EQ wasn't more attuned to epic quests, and less to raiding endgame, but ah well.

The story behind the cleric epic was pretty cool.
Magician epic makes no fucking sense, and it sucks massive cock. (to do it)
Rogue epic is pretty entertaining, but far too easy.
Shaman epic makes me want to sleep.
Every other epic has its "cool story" behind it, but nothing stands out in my memory.
I know NOTHING about the shadowknight and necro epics, for some reason I ignore them.

Getting my wizard epic was the most exciting day I had in EQ.

The cleric epic was cool until they made it doable in one day without the drama of spawn stealing and ninja looting.

Yes.
The bard epic was also neat-ish. If you read the text, it made sense to do what you had to be doing.
