a new preview.
the tech vs magic system looks great. and i prefer a FPS with hints of an RPG over a shittily done MMO. plus it looks like the day has arrived where PC users can completely bone the people that use a console-controller.

I would kill for a 3d RPG of the scale and open-endedness of, say, Baldur's Gate. Hell, how about a Shadowrun version of Neverwinter Nights, where the GM can set up a corp complex, set up the security, etc. and sit back and watch as a group of PCs does their run. Wish I could find a group in my area doing pen & paper Shadowrun. That would be the own for true.

I've been saying this for years.
Imagine a game with the freedom of say a Grand Theft Auto but in a futuristic campaign like Shadowrun. I don't think the game developers really understand why Grand Theft Auto is popular. To me, it's much more about the game design then the content. Why they keep pushing these urban crime titles instead of making open ended RPG type games I'll never know.

It's the same reason the illiterate urban rap people keep selling assloads of CDs to suburban kids.
Shadowrun was loved for its depth. Most kids nowadays are A.D.D.ish and never read a book.
