I read that but it's pretty inconclusive. John Howard is the Prime Minister and head of the 'Liberal' Party, but it's the more right wing party in Australia. The Labour party is the more left wing party which is probably where this Crean dude is from.

That whole thing is about him take 175 thousand bucks from the Australian government to make a commercial about some nature preserve. Australians are obsessed with government spending. If the government gives 20$ to some kid about something that is the least but controversial it will be all over the news. It struck me as odd when I was there cause Canadian's are a little more liberal with our government spending.

ps, belonging to a gun club immediately makes you a right wing nutjob and over rides any good(left) tendencies in you

You 'nuks would be alot more personable if youd put down the poutine and played a little less hockey~

I do agree that most folks ive run across in the US have pretty solid tunnle vision. For you to say im one of them on a message board is ignorant and for me to say i am not is arrogant. On the internet, everyone loses.

Ugh, we took a funny comment meant to try and rile Mindia up and turn it into a political debate. Another thread to not read now ><

its not necessarily a putdown, but rather an observation

just last week I was on a Cisco course, instructor from arkansas

he didn't even have a clue where on the map he was (ie, he didn't know east, west, north or south)

The bold part says all you need to know.
For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.

Your turn. Tell me how that DOESN'T make him a Liberal.

No one posts facts or proof on this board, Lyion, you especially. But at least my post was funny.

You don't need to be a liberal to support wildlife conservation, Zanchief. I've been a huge supporter of the World Wildlife Fund for many years, and I'm a conservative.

Sorry Darcler, but Steve's untimely demise just hit me kind of hard, and I'm still sort of freaked out about it, and still very sad about his death. I had a lot in common with him (not the croc-hunter part), but I was an avid herpetoculturist myself. Back in the day, I was the kid who was always catching the snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, etc. and setting up elaborate terrariums, and studying them. I bet I have spent more time in San Francisco's Steinhardt Aquarium and Academy of Natural Sciences than anybody who doesn't work there. Steve Irwin was a "hero" to millions of people around the world, including myself. I was even planning a vacation to Australia just because of Steve Irwin and his zoo. Anyway, sorry for the hypersensitivity on this subject.

Eric, do you own any reptiles currently? I had a total of five iguana's in Shanghai. One was fucking crazy, sick, etc.. ended up dieing. Another one was traumatized by the kids that used to own it. It kept bashing it's nose into the bars of the cage... slowly cutting its face apart. I ended up beheading it for it's own good. The other three were very healthy though =) ... I always hated/feared reptiles until I became an iguana owner... Absolutely love lizards now.

I still fucking hate snakes.

Why try to hide behind a weak tapestry of obscurity? Just come out and say what you want to say.

No, not anymore. My Iguana died about 4 years ago. She was 10 years old and about 4 feet long. Poor Ursula... I miss her.
