Madden Curse Strikes again

Postby Xaiveir » Mon Sep 25, 2006 4:08 pm

Looks like it might be a real thing, and i dont believe in them. But.....

Yahoo Sports said....

KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- League MVP Shaun Alexander cracked a bone in his sore left foot and will be lost to the Seattle Seahawks for at least a couple of weeks.

Alexander has had soreness and a bone bruise in his left foot since the season opener at Detroit. Coach Mike Holmgren said Monday that Alexander cracked a bone sometime during Sunday's 42-30 win over the New York Giants. Holmgren said the bruise in Alexander's foot led to the crack and Alexander was walking around team headquarters Monday on crutches.

"You lose the MVP for a while, it's a hit," Holmgren said. "Let's face it, he's the MVP. We're not going to sugarcoat it."

Alexander has started 69 of the last 70 games for the Seahawks, but has yet to rush for more than 100 yards this season. He had just 47 yards on 20 carries on Sunday, and didn't play in the fourth quarter.

Last season, Alexander rushed for 1,880 yards and 27 touchdowns. Maurice Morris will start for Alexander when the Seahawks face Chicago next Sunday night.

How many years in a row is that?

Wasn't McNabb on it the season before? He missed games last year.

Yes sir....Mcnabb was on the cover last year, and got a Sports hernia the first week of the season. Well and you know how the season went last year.

The curse is whoever is on the cover of the video game for that year has something bad happen to them, whether it be an injury (like McNabb, Vick, and now Alexander), or just have an uncharacteristically bad season like Ray Lewis.

Even Ray lewis broke his hand like the 15th week of the season, aside from his horrible year. He was also hampered by injuries that year too.

Barry Sanders was on the cover, and he retired before that year was played. Dorsey Levens was hurt and wound up being out of football the next year. Ummm lets see, and Eddie George had a good year, but was hampered by nagging injuries towards the end of the year and coughed up a pivotle fumble in teh playoffs. It was like someone sneezed on George and he fumbled, led to the other team winning.
