Report: T.O. attempted suicide Police report says wideout tried to overdose himself
DALLAS (AP) -- Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after fire rescue personnel arrived.
A Dallas police report released Wednesday morning said Owens told rescue workers "that he was depressed." The report was first released by WFAA-TV.
The rescue worker "noticed that (his) prescription pain medication was empty and observed (Owens) putting two pills in his mouth," the police report said.
The worker attempted to pry them out with her fingers, then was told by Owens that before this incident he'd taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he'd emptied. The worker then asked Owens "if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, 'Yes."'
I think this guy needs some help.

Owens was hospitalized late Tuesday because of what his publicist said was an allergic reaction to pain medicine he was taking for a broken hand. Doctors reportedly tried to induce vomiting.
I would expect an allergic reaction to taking 40 pills.

Owens didn't know his father until he was 11. Attracted to a girl who lived across the street, Owens pursued her until the girl's father pulled him aside one day, he wrote in his 2004 autobiography, Catch This! Going Deep With the NFL's Sharpest Weapon.
"You can't be interested in her," the man said.
"Why not? I like her," Owens replied.
"That doesn't matter," the man said.
"Why?" Owens asked.
"Because that girl is your half-sister."
Owens said it took him a while to understand that the man talking to him was his father.
It's obvious the guy could really use psychiatric help. The 49ers recommended it to him, as did teh Eagles. So far he's refused. If ANYONE woudl benefit from that, he's a grade-A prime candidate, but he has to WANT to get help first.

This could easily happen to me. This is ONE reason why I really want to find out who my birth father and half sister are.
