And they found a tube of KY jelly, 600 rounds of ammunition and a change of clothes. I guess he probably planned on molesting the shit out of those girls for awhile while staving off the cops with the 600 rounds, but his plan was foiled somewhere along the lines.

He killed a teachers aide, BUT he was nice enough to let the pregnant woman go as well as 2 other women and their infants. Oh and the boys.

It's always crackers shooting the place up that make it on the news. In the ghetto they treat it like the norm.

Don't forget the roll of toilet paper.

Gawd I prefered this story when I knew only that he shot up some girls, it was sick enough then without the lube and planned molestation.

Yeah...

They said he started buying stuff for this before the event in Colorado so it's not really a copycat but there must be some molester bat signal going on.

We should just lock up all these white folks to protect the children from this kind of behaviour. A day doesn't go buy where one of these honkeys is on the news for something sick like this. I swear, every time I see a white dude walking down the street I wonder "does this sick fuck want to bend me over and rape me?!"

Personally I think it's the parents fault. White folk just don't know how to raise their kids anymore.

What I find really amusing is how much they hate this country, except those laws that protect what they are doing. In 1 sentence they will talk about how much they despise this country and everyone in it, and then in the next say they have the right to protest. I am just waiting for 1 of them to slip and do something violent and become labeled as terrorists.

The group who has really impressed me in all of this is the Amish. Sure, they have their weird anti-technology thing, but just by their reactions, I can't think of a group that truly practices the ideals of Christianity, as opposed to just giving it lip service.

I've already seen one news story about the grandfather of 2 of the slain girls telling his surviving grandchildren to forgive the killer, and to not think evil of the man. In another story, I've heard that the amish community has actually gotten up a collection to donate to the killer's wife; to reach out to her as if she was herself amish and as much a victim as any of the families that had children killed.

I dunno about anyone else, but that kind of action, and really FOLLOWING the tenets of Christianity, even in the face of about the most dire provocation imagineable... Well, it impresses the fuck out of me. If only other Christians lived up to the same standards, this'd be a much better world.

I too know some REAL Christians who also impress the hell out of me. It's sad though that most are faux believers that cloak themselves in religous faith as a way to achieve a means to an end while all the while embracing the very sins said faith teachs against. Most Christians spend Sunday in church, but by Tuesday are out fucking their secretary, or the lawn boy behind their spouses back.

I think for many people it's just trendy to be religious in some regards.

You want to see antagonism? Try homeschooling for secular reasons....OMG it's unreal.

Anyway, yes, the Amish may have some odd strictures but they are pretty true to their beliefs. They don't believe in Christ, though, so they aren't really Christians.

From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amish

The Amish, (IPA pronunciation: [ɑmɪʃ]) are an Anabaptist Christian denomination

and looking at their link on Anabaptist Christianity, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anabaptist doesn't indicate to me that they are non-christians or don't believe in Christ, etc.

As I recall, they're closely associated with the Mennonites, who most certainly are Christian as well.

It's complicated.....Mennonites ARE Christians and the groups ARE related but the Amish believe they get to heaven thru good deeds...not thru Christ. They do believe in him (I misspoke myself) but don't see him as the 'gateway' to heaven. At least this is true for the Amish where we were. Each sect has their own set of rules set down by the elders and there can be a huge difference in philosophy as well.

The shootings this week and last week deeply sadden me. I mourn for the losses of the children and adults involved. The morality of this country has slipped so far beyond normality that people aren't even shocked anymore.

I am actually currently doing a report on the Amish and their immigration to thsi country. Ironically, they first settled in the area where that shooting happened. I find it refreshing to see them still plowing using horses instead of combines. I used to live in an Amish town and they had combines. Perhaps they were Mennanites? They don't mind some contact with the outside world as long as it does not interfere with their community.

That is all I have to say about that.

lol don't start thinking that the Amish are so pure and sweet on a whole. They're just like any other group of people, they have their own fuckups. Like the community here that had 2 men who raped a 13 year old girl repeatedly over a 2 year period. Her father acted like it was her fault and did nothing. The community didn't call the police, because "they handled it themselves" by taking away the men's fishing rights for a year. Kinda harsh punishment I suppose but you gotta do what you gotta do.

The one thing I don't understand about the Amish, but can certainly relate to them with somehow, is why they abstain from the use of technology for the most part.

I can't wrap my head around WHY you would ignore technological advances mankind has made and continue to make. What motivation as a people would you have to try and better the world without said advances?

Idle hands are the devile's playthings...

By the way, the simple life is something to be respected. I wish I could unlearn everything I know, for true.
